March Empties 2016 - Glamorable

Yass, empties are back! Now that March is over I am proud to show you the products I used til the last, or almost last drop. This month’s pile features a couple tosses, too, so there are products that didn’t work for me at all among the gems that turned out to be pretty darn impressive. Here we go!

BODY:

Created by the genius behind TOKYOMILK Margot Elena, Lollia Perfumed Shower Gel [$22, available here] is one of those sweet unnecessary indulgences that add a little something something to your morning routine. I don’t think I will repurchase, but this was a fabulous body wash to try: it never felt too drying and made my skin smell like fresh flowers. Repurchase? No.

I love my bubble baths, so I really enjoyed U.S. Apothecary Rose Water Bubble Bath [$30, available here]. I had this bottle for ages, and it finally ran out, but honestly even thought the rose fragrance was totally heavenly, I think I can just use any mild milky body wash instead with a few drops of rose oil instead. Repurchase? No.

This little travel-sized tube of Whish Body Butter [$18, available here] has been sitting in my purse and I finally finished it last week. It smells amazing! Repurchase? Maybe.

HAIR:

Only one hair product empty this month, but it’s a good one! If you haven’t yet tried Korean Mise en scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack [$12, available in Korea, but you can request it here], you’re missing out! It received multiple regional beauty awards, and it’s seriously amazing. The hair afterward is luscious, soft, detangled, and delicately scented. Repurchase? Likely.

MAKEUP:

I even have two makeup empties this month, even though they’re both sample sized. The first one is MAC False Lashes Mascara [$22, available here], which I used for about a week before it dried out. It’s a great mascara for defining lashes if yours grow in different directions like mine. Repurchase? Maybe.

The second makeup sample is Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara [$24, avalable here], which is everything my lashes needed and then more. It also holds curl like a champ! Repurchase? Likely.

SKINCARE:

Skincare is probably my most used category in these empties posts, and one of my most important empties this month is probably TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream [$135, available here]. This tiny jar lasted me forever, and I genuinely love how silky and gentle it feels around my eye area. I’ve been very successful at staving off the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, so I don’t know how good this eye cream is at reducing them and whatnot, but during the time I used it no new ones have formed. Repurchase? Likely, but I have a couple other eye creams in my stash to try first.

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence [$12, available here] is one of my HG products. It’s perfect for reducing the swelling from acne, and it also helps reduce the size and number of breakouts super fast compared to other products I tried. Repurchase? Yes!

Exuviance Performance Peel AP25 [$75, available here] is a strong chemical peel that I would only recommend to people with built up Glycolic Acid tolerance. I do these peels once a week to keep my skin’s texture even and line-free. It also helps exfoliate dead cells and hyperpigmentation. Repurchase? Yes.

Are you familiar with pool cleansers? It’s one of the trends in Korean skincare that might become popular in our neck of the woods too, now that Sephora carries Caolion. Well, DR.YOUNG Pore Syok-Syok Cleansing Gel [$4, only available in Korea] is one of those sticky, goo-like cleansers that combine the efficiency of a cleansing balm and a gel cleanser to remove all traces of makeup in one go. I find these things really effective! Repurchase? Yes, but not this one. I’ll get a similar product from another company.

I got my hubs addicted to bee venom products, because his skin is prone to breakouts, so he actually finished this hand me down from me after I used about half of it. Migabee Bee Venom & Honey Cream [$40, only available in Korea] is a really nice moisturizer for normal and combination skin. It helped keep his face hydrated while providing acne-fighting properties of bee venom and honey. Repurchase? No, I’ll get him a different brand.

My last “empty” is actually a toss, as I decided to get rid of DR.MJ Jasmine Sleeping Water Mask [$24, available here]. I wanted to love it, but it actually made my skin worse in the morning. Repurchase? No.
