If you follow me on Snapchat, then you probably remember how proud I was feeling after having an ultra-productive day earlier this week. I managed to do three days worth of work in about 10 hours, and to reward myself for this accomplishment I decided to have a little SPA night in. Armed with my favorite beauty products I went into the bathroom with the intention to emerge nothing short of a glowing goddess.
When I get extra time like that I tend to dedicate more effort to areas I normally neglect or simply don’t give as much care as the rest of the body. This includes my feet, nails, deep hair treatments, and even body wraps I love so much, but they are just so time-consuming that I never bother unless I have an extra hour or so.
So what products do you ladies use when you finally get some time to pamper yourself? Here’s what I used on Monday:
1 // First of all, I took a nice long bath to soften those dead skin cells which makes them easier to remove later. I also love using bath bombs or bath melts for their aromatherapy properties, and some of them even moisturize the skin.
2 // While I was relaxing in the tub, I applied a handful of minardi Fortifying Pre-Wash Therapy treatment, a special type of hair masque that nourishes the hair and prepares it for shampooing.
3 // After a nice long soak, but before the skin turned pruney, I drained the water and exfoliated my body with FarmHouse Fresh Brandy Pear Scrub. I mean, it’s a scrub that smells like pears, what can be more relaxing?
4 // I rinsed off the hair masque with my current favorite John Frieda shampoo & conditioner and applied a leave-in treatment.
5 // My body needed some quenching after all that exfoliation, so I applied fresh Body Lotion in Citron de Vigne. Something about that invigorating citrusy fragrance is very uplifting!
6 // I didn’t moisturize my feet because they were about to get a very special SPA experience. I used Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File [$69.99, available here] to exfoliate rough and dry areas and reveal baby smooth skin in minutes. I love that this rechargeable beauty tool can be used wet and dry, so I really have no excuse for not treating my feet more often. Point taken!
Taking time for myself pays off by giving me a boost of confidence, and when I’m happy I’m always more productive and efficient in all aspects of life. After all, Amopé™ Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File and my favorite beauty products help me welcome spring in full bloom!
