Nails Inc Victoria Swatches and Review

Purchased by Me

Happy New Year, everyone!

Here are the swatches of Nails Inc Victoria that I promised you a couple days ago. I want to start off by saying this is actually my first bottle of Nails Inc nail polish and I really didn’t know what to expect of the formula, but the reviews seem to be majorly positive.

Victoria can be described as a bloody dark cherry jelly, so it’s actually a bit sheer. I had to build it up to full opacity in three coats for these swatches, because I’m personally not a huge fan of dark jellies in general. The formula is quite runny and despite being very careful I still experienced some pooling over my cuticles.

This is one of those rare polishes that photographs well and true to color, while looking almost exactly the same regardless of the light conditions. To show you the comparison, I included two pictures taken with and without flash. Don’t they look nearly identical?

When I was done swatching, I decided to dress it up a little and added some glitter. I added a nice thick coat of Julep Erica over my ring finger, and a little hint of Nubar Blondie over the remaining four. I think the result is quite lovely 🙂

All Nails Inc polishes are free from formaldehyde, toluene and DBP.

Love it! I love deep colors that almost look black. I think they’re elegant!

I also think that dark colors look elegant, they’re very eye catching and make the nails and fingers look classy 🙂

I see what you mean, it’s like a color you’d see in a vial of blood in those vampire movies.

This didn’t turn out as dark on my nail wheel but I had a feeling it would once on. I love the color.

Was your swatch 3 coats too? It wasn’t very deep until the last coat, so maybe you’re seeing more of a dark cherry than it looks on my nails.

I LOVE your mani! Mostly because I am wearing the exact same thing… Even Blondie is on my ring finger! Are we the same person in two different bodies???

      That’s what I thought, too 🙂

Vampalicious! Love this color – I have a love/hate with jellies, too. Love the effect, hate the runnyness and need for so many coats.

I’m right there with you, why do those jellies have to be so hard to work with!

I love that color!! And the glitter you picked is very pretty on it. However you have your lighting set up is amazing!! And I mean amazing!

Omg Shelley, you have no idea how long it took me to realize how to set up the light for polish swatches, since I was never a nail blogger. I basically just put two LED lamps on a table and move my hand directly under them, and that’s it for my setup! Normally I do swatches outside in daylight, but it’s winter and I hate being cold 🙂

I can’t get over the shininess of it all! I love dark vampy colors and the accent color. (Sheila, Painted Ladies)

Thank you Sheila, I’m also a huge fan of dark colors, especially in the Winter 🙂
