New cosmetic companies launch practically every day, but this one is quite different. Founded by Emmanuel Ray and Suzanne Dawson, YUNI is the first natural beauty brand designed to enhance the yoga practice. Made with ethically sourced high quality plant ingredients from all over the globe, each of these exquisite skin, body, and hair care products create a sensory “anchor” that reconnects the user with their yoga experience.
I suffer from chronic migraines, and yoga was among the things recommended to me by my neurologist to soothe the symptoms. The only products I used after my classes at that time were wet wipes and a refreshing mist, but looks like YUNI has the whole range things an aspiring yogi might need in their bag!
Instant Shower Sheets are perfect for a hot yoga session. Infused with peppermint oil and neem leaf extract, they clean and deodorize the skin, making it feel petal fresh. I also like them for neem’s ability to purify the pores, which helps deal with body breakouts. My upper back could definitely use some help in that department.
Active Calm Face Serum contains echinacea, organic buriti oil, and fair trade green tea. It has a relaxing herbal aroma, that smells so good, I just want to keep inhaling it over and over! The serum’s slightly runny formula has a lotiony feel to it, which absorbs into the skin almost immediately without leaving a sticky layer.
No-Rinse Body Cleansing Foam is designed to quickly clean the skin of sweat and minor impurities, but it won’t replace a thorough shower. I’ve been using it to freshen up after particularly intense cardio reps [around 180+ bpm] when my body is hot and sweaty. Sometimes when sweat dries during a workout my skin starts to itch, but this foam eliminated that problem.
All Purpose Body Balm is perhaps my favorite YUNI product! I used it all over my body, giving special attention to those dry heels, elbows, and knees, and it improved the overall condition of those areas practically overnight. This thick paste contains shea butter and organic kukui seed oil, that are both revered for their incredible ability to moisturize, soothe, and nourish the skin and hair.
Muscle Recovery Gel is thankfully not something I need to use often, so I only tried it for the review. It’s one of those roll-on ointments that provide cooling effect to relieve sore muscles, courtesy of peppermint oil in the formula. The gel also contains fair trade green tea extract and arnica to fight inflammation, however the effect is only topical. If the pain is too intense I usually take a mild OTC painkiller.
Everything about YUNI – from wet wipes to facial serum – whispers “relaxation” and takes me to a place of zen. I also appreciate the simplicity of white packaging that lets the products speak for themselves. This is the kind of beauty you can feel good about, just like one does after a yoga class.
WHERE TO BUY: YUNI line is available on YUNIbeauty.com, at YogaWorks, Credo Beauty, and other natural beauty retailers, select yoga studios, and healthy living retailers across the US.

I’d definitely use this line of products to freshen up at the gym and follow up with a shower at home. Never like showering at the gym. Always creeps me out.
I’m with you, I always hated gym showers, so these sheets are right up my alley.
The shower sheets sound right up my alley!
They’re perfect for feeling fresh on the go 🙂
The shower sheets sound lovely for a refresher on a hot summer day.
My Mom even suggested they are nice for hot flashes, so I hope they help her soothe them.
I love these shower sheets! The balm sounds like it will be the next thing I try from Yuni!
Give it a try for sure! I am really enjoying everything so far 🙂
This sounds so intriguing!! I need to get some and plan a yoga session to see what its all about!
It’s really fun, I think you will like the experience!
I would have never thought of this. Great concept- especially the no rinse body foam. It’s such a great way to run to the store without taking a shower after a workout and not feeling gross.
I know, right? There are so many great uses for these!
These are such great products, they sound amazing! I would love to try the shower sheets for sure!
They are really nice, I bet you’d enjoy them!
It’s so good to hear the serum isn’t leaving behind the sticky feeling! I hate that!
I hate that, too! Yuck! Some serums are just way too sticky 🙂
I went to a yoga class once and felt very cumbersome and uncoordinated! I have a DVD that I’m planning to try soon, because I think I’d enjoy it in the confines of my own home! The instant shower sheets sound heavenly in general.
I felt that way at first when I went to my yoga classes, but eventually my body got used to the routine. It felt uncomfortable not being able to perfectly replicate the instructor when everyone else in the room seemed to be in the perfect stance 🙂
These sound amazing.
I’m glad you think so too, Justina!
Love the concept of this line. I think the Muscle recovery gel is something I would use often. I haven’t been to Yoga in a long time but I need to start going again.
I should start doing it more regularly too – I loved going to classes several times a week. That recovery gel is great for any time of physical activity, I used it after cardio workouts too 🙂
My SIL teaches yoga so I should send her this review.
Thank you for spreading the love Marcia, I hope she enjoys it!
These sound divine. Btw, do you know what triggers your migraine? For me, aside from occasional stress (ugh), CHOCOLATES or anything cocoa trigger it so since quitting chocolates, I never had migraines again…. well except for the severe tension headache I had 3 wks ago when I quit coffee (coffee withdrawal is real btw)
I have a lot of triggers, so eliminating all of them is not an option. Bright sunshine and thunderstorms trigger them, ice cream triggers them, strong wind triggers them, hormonal changes, sudden loud noises, stress, carb-rich hot food, and lots of others 🙁 So I just end up popping a painkiller and continue enjoying the sunshine instead 🙂
This sounds like a very pampering range. I love the sound of the All Purpose Body Balm and the Muscle Recovery Gel.
I am loving the body balm as well, it feels so soothing on the skin!
This sounds awesome!! I’ve started to do yoga and pilates from home when I can and these would definitely be a great addition!
For sure! Since you’re doing it in the comfort of your own home you probably wouldn’t need the waterless shower sheets, but there are many other products that will enhance the experience.
What an interesting niche beauty routine!
That sure is an interesting niche, I was very intrigued when I saw the pitch in my inbox.
This sounds great! I haven’t done yoga, but several friends do and I need to show them this link!
Thanks for spreading the word, I hope they enjoy this review!
I used to do yoga, I need to start again.
I should start doing it more regularly, too.
That face serum has my attention and sounds wonderful. I think these would be a great addition with or without Yoga, but it sounds like this would be awesome regardless after a work out.
I agree, using good skin care with simple ingredients is great for anybody, not just the yogis.
