Been a while since I posted some nail art, hasn’t it? For this one I applied Incoco nail applique in Down to Earth from their Spring 2014 Collection as a base color, and topped it with a yellow chevron accent on the tips, using Lime Crime Crema de Limon.

I love using several pastel colors together, and I feel like these two worked really well here. Remember in my review I mentioned that Down to Earth emphasizes my nail ridges? Well, here I sealed everything with two layers of Seche Vite top coat, which resulted in nice and even manicure. No complaints there!

What is your favorite pastel color to use on the nails?

I had no idea you could do nail art over Inoco strips. Very cool – and you’re right, it looks even better with a little topcoat. Knowledge is power!

This was actually my first attempt, too, so I’m glad that worked out well 😉 I feel like it’s something I will consider doing in the future, when the pattern is getting a little worn out but I’m not quite ready to part with it yet.
