It’s no secret that curled eyelashes look fuller, longer and overall more attractive, and so far the manual pinching curlers have been the most used type in the industry. However, that’s not the only kind that exists, and today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on a heated eyelash curler from Wish Eyecurl.

WISH Eyecurl Heated Eyelash Curler – the tip turns white when it’s ready

The outer packaging is quite simple: it offers minimal protection, mostly from dust and water, but I’m sure it’s all done to make sure the money goes into what actually matters – the product. The wand has an aesthetically pleasing design that looks like an edgy hourglass, and comes in two colors – black and white. For this review I received the white one, and actually that’s the color I would have picked for myself if I bought it on my own.

The device is operated with one 1.5V AA battery, I normally use rechargeable, but any AA will do. I have to note that the package comes without batteries, so you might have to purchase them beforehand if you plan to start using this curler right away.

WISH Eyecurl Heated Eyelash Curler – instructions

The device is quite simple: you push the On/Off button, wait for the tip indicator to turn from red to white, and press it on to your lashes for a few seconds to get beautiful and natural-looking curl. I use this wand before and after mascara, but Wishtrend recommends only using it after to minimize the damage to your lashes. I honestly don’t think that 5 seconds of heat is all that bad, and I believe that I do way more damage with regular lash curlers.

The final result is amazing, and I like it a lot more than what I get with conventional eye curler. Truth is, my lashes kind of grow in so many different directions, sometimes mascaras make them look clumped together, when in reality that’s just how some of them grow. WISH Eyecurl not only curls them, it also defines and makes them look almost like falsies, with even spacing and everything, and that’s worth a lot to me personally. Best part? It keeps the curl all day until you remove your makeup, then your lashes will go back to their natural relaxed state.

This curler is working wonders for my straight lashes!

THE VERDICT
WISH Eyecurl heated curler is the second one of its kind that I tried, and the only one I will use from now on. It curls, defines, and evens my lashes, while holding this shape all day long. Just remember that it doesn’t come with batteries.

I’ve never used a heated eyelash curler before. I do have this ONE eyelash that sticks straight down. Maybe it would be tamed with this! I also have one bottom eyelash that turned white and keeps growing. I am an eyelash freak!

Haha, that’s exactly my problem, except I have more than one lash that grows in a weird direction, some of them even grow above the lashline! This curler definitely helped me even out the row.

I know right? It sounds like a fancy tool for professionals, but both my old heated curler and this one are very much affordable.

Great review. Your photos sold me, I bookmarked and I think I am going to buy myself one of those little gadgets. Especially since right now they are on sale and guess who likes a bargain. 😉

Thank you Erika, I’m glad my review was helpful 😉 I’ve been using this curler every day since I got it, and the result always puts a big smile on my face. You’re basically investing $12 into daily smiles!

I bought a Japonesque heated curler last year but haven’t dared to use it for fear of frying my whole eyes lol. Thanks for the review; I will give it a try now.

    • March 15, 2014 / 10:53 am

Actually, I already own Japonesque, and it’s worse than this one. It takes longer to heat up and seems like I need to spend way more time to achieve desirable results, so I eventually stopped using it. I don’t want to sound like I’m trying to sell you something here, but between Japonesque and WISH I’d choose the latter.

I’ve never used a heated eyelash curler before, sounds amazing though and you got great results!

Thank you, I do believe they are better for my lashes than traditional curlers because I have fine stick-straight hair. And it’s cheap! 🙂

This sounds like it may be worth checking out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I have one heated curler somewhere and I really liked it. I need to pull it out again. Great review and this is a great cost for this product.

You definitely should, it will be like your re-discovered must have 🙂

Well that sounds great! I don’t really need to curl my lashes, they have a natural curl to them but I have never used a curler that could curl them any more than they are.

You are so lucky, I wish my lashes were naturally curly too 🙂

I wonder if this would work for me… My lashes have a natural curl so regular curlers don’t really do much. The best one I’ve found is by Le Metier de Beaute. I’d love to find one that really shows a difference.

I tried that LMdB curler, and I agree it’s very nice, but for me personally this one works a lot better. Maybe you should also look into heated curlers if you’re hoping for a more dramatic curl.

This is something I would really like to give it a go !

It works like magic, you should try one of these heated curlers for sure 🙂
