A few days ago we hung a bird feeder outside on the porch and today I woke up to sunshine and chirping birds. What a great way to start the day! In other news, last night I took Mom to the airport, so she should be on her way home to Russia now. She stayed with us for three weeks and we did our best to show her everything there is to see in our area 🙂

Now, back to my weekly faves… Today I’m sharing a few products that I used a lot this past week. Since I was always on the go, they all share the same qualities – easy to use, low-maintenance, and long-lasting.

Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask [$40] – I used this mask as a cleanser to remove all traces of BB cream and physical sunscreen from my pores at the end of the day. I know there are special products for that, and oil cleansers to a pretty good job too, but I watched some Korean beauty talk show, and the guest derm there recommended using carbonated cleansers that bubble on your face and literally bring all the gunk and product remainders from the pores to the surface.

Gloss Moderne High-Gloss Serum [$49] – This is one of my favorite hair products, and I use it when I’m in a rush, because it makes my hair look smooth, shiny, and smells like vanilla beans.

NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee [$4.99] – I don’t have particular attachment to this gloss, but it just happened to be in the purse I was using this week, so I applied it several times every day. It gives my lips a nice glossy sheen, and a hint of sheer coral without the greasiness or stickiness.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked [$22] – This is actually one of my all-time favorite lipstick formulas. All Revolution lipsticks are long-lasting and moisturizing at the same time, and this particular color is the perfect “your lips but better” rosy mauve that will suit almost everyone.

And finally, my blush staple this week was Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop [$21]. It’s probably my favorite long-lasting blush right now, because of its unique gel-powder formula that builds beautifully, blends like a dream, and stays put all day. I mean literally, all of my makeup would need touching up, but not this baby.

What products are you loving this week?

That’s a fun fact about the bubbling cleansers–I never knew that! I just started using a BHA treatment every night (Paula’s Choice) but that’s also something I’ll look into. Clogged pores are such an issue for me!
