Tresor Rare Ultimate Pearl Protecting Defence Care Duo-Shield

What is the fanciest beauty product you’ve tried? For me it would have to be Tresor Rare Ultimate Pearl Protecting Defence Care Duo-Shield moisturizer-serum, an award-winning skin depollutant. It’s designed to prevent cellular damage caused by things like smog, dust, and free radicals, which can be unavoidable if you live in a big city, but really we’re all exposed to them more or less.

Trésor Rare [French for “Rare Treasure”] is composed of the refining diamond dust and smoothing deep water pearls mixed with plant stem cells, liposomes, phospholipids and Dead Sea Minerals to form an exceptional, luxurious skin care which helps protect and depollute the skin, so it can adapt to the changing environment.

Yes, you read that right, Ultimate Pearl Protecting Defence Care Duo-Shield seriously contains diamonds and precious pearls in powder form – they provide very subtle exfoliation and also act like a physical shield to ward off the pollution. The formula also bursts some familiar botanicals like rosehip, sweet almond, and jojoba oils for nourishment; finely ground Dead Sea salt that enriches the skin with essential minerals; and extracts of ginkgo biloba, myrtle, dandelion, hops, and other herbs to provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. You can check the CosDNA ingredient breakdown here.

The serum comes in a pink tall glass bottle with a pump, which reduces the risk of oxidation and cross-contamination, and keeps the product inside fresh. The formula looks like a runny milky substance, which doesn’t have any distinguishable scent: a good thing for scent-sensitive people like myself. I can tolerate some fragrances, but many of them give me the worst migraines of my life.

On the skin this serum feels like a silicone primer, which is not surprising, considering that silicones are on top of the ingredient list; it creates a smooth canvas for makeup, while providing skin caring properties. It didn’t want to work well with my moisturizer though – instead of absorbing my cream just sat on the surface, looking like a slippery mess, so I decided to do it counter-intuitively and first apply the moisturizer and then the serum, and that method worked a lot better.

As far as results go, I’ve actually used up the entire bottle and didn’t see any improvements. Note, that Ultimate Pearl Protecting Defence Care Duo-Shield is designed to depollute the skin, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so maybe there just wasn’t enough pollution here for me to notice the results. I don’t know. What I do know is that it didn’t cause any irritation, and that’s always a good thing with new skincare.

Warning!!! Do NOT purchase any of these products! I spent $1351.00 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas for the entire line. It has ruined my face! I cannot hydrate my face enough to get rid of the dry skin and have been trying for a month. I even had a hydrating facial that did not undo the damage that these products have caused. And now I have almost all unused products for that kind of money sitting here. I am going to post this on every site that reviews this product to warn other unsuspecting victims! Primarily because I am sure that this post will be immediately deleted!

Hi Hana! Thank you for sharing your experience. If you read my post, you’d know that I mentioned that this product did nothing for my skin at all, so I do not think it warrants a high price tag. Since you posted three times I will delete two of your other posts, and leave this one up. I hope your skin feels better soon 🙁
