Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter – Rainforest at Dawn

pr sample

I have a confession to make, even though I know the importance of regular skin exfoliation, I often neglect my lips. I feel like they are dry no matter what I do, so I sort of gave up on trying to make them look better. When I had an opportunity to try Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter, I thought I would be sampling a regular lip balm, but it turned out to be a really cool dual-action treatment.

Teadora offers these in two scents – Rainforest at Dawn and Rainforest at Dusk [kind of reminds me of that LE tarte palette name]. I received Dawn, that the company lovingly calls “Laranja”, which means orange in Portuguese. It has that bitter citrusy scent, achieved by combining antioxidant and vitamin-rich Buriti, Brazil Nut, Andoriba, Passion Fruit, Açaí oils, Cupuaçu, Murumuru, Mango butters, and Carnaúba & Orange Peel waxes. As weird as it may sound, this lip treatment tastes good, too, and that’s usually a good sign.

Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter comes in a large pot, which normally would be too big for a typical lip balm, but this one also doubles as a scrub, so they expect you to use it more often. The formula contains small exfoliating particles, and I’m not quite sure what they are, maybe stevia grains? Now whenever I need to exfoliate I just scoop a little more product, apply it on my lips, rub them together for about 30 seconds, and wipe off the excess.

I like that Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter makes my lips look like I take care of them regularly, even though I really could be more diligent about it. Just one use was enough to make them look much smoother and plumper, and that’s more than I can say about half of all lip scrubs that I’ve tried. The only thing I didn’t like was the pot container, I think a typical lip balm bullet case would be a much better option.

Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter is all-natural, and free of parabens, synthetic fragrance, silicone, gluten, phthalate, sulfates and other harsh chemicals. Just the good stuff.

Speaking of Teadora products, I actually tried minis of both Dusk and Dawn shampoo and conditioner via Ipsy, and fell in love with Dusk duo! I have baby fine hair, that is normally limp and flat, but Dusk shampoo gave it lots of volume and some crazy air at the roots, and the conditioner made the rest of the hair look thicker and healthier. These two are definitely on my wishlist!
