TATCHA products have been among my personal favorites for years, and recently the brand introduced two new additions to their Luminous Collection: Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate [$110 for 1.7 oz, available here] and Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum [$95 for available here]. Infused with Okinawa Red Algae Extract and proprietary HADASEI-3 complex, the duo promises to deliver luminous glow and healthy dewy finish to the skin, while providing deeply nourishing and anti-aging properties.

I had these products on my vanity table for about two weeks now, so this is more of an overview of my first impressions to give you a general idea. However, one thing is for certain: the formulations are absolutely exquisite and fit in with the rest of the collection nicely.
TATCHA Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate

TATCHA Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate

“Visibly replenish and diminish the look of fine lines, revealing a youthful glow in one use.”

True to their elegant aesthetic, TATCHA packaged Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate into a beautiful purple and white ombre glass jar with a golden spatula held under the silken ribbon on the cap. While the jar packaging is frowned upon by many skincare experts, using clean spatula helps eliminate the potential issues from constant finger-dipping. Additionally, keeping this jar in the fridge should preserve all of the vitamins and plant extracts, and prevent them from oxidizing.

The consistency of this concentrate is most unusual! Imagine a milky gellee that melts into an essence when it comes in contact with warm skin. This cooling sensation is very refreshing at the end of a long day, especially on the cheeks – it’s like splashing your face with spring water! I also love that TATCHA Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate plays well with the rest of my skincare. It effortlessly binds the layers of serums and essences together, all without pilling or flaking off. It doesn’t feel heavy either, just soothing weightless veil enveloping my skin.

Like I said in the beginning, I don’t have any drastic results to report just yet, but I think luminous is the right name for this gel. It gives the skin that healthy radiant glow in the morning, which is worth a lot in my book.

TATCHA Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum

TATCHA Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum

“This weightless serum of Okinawa Red Algae, Honeysuckle Leaf and Caffeine offers instantly-visible firming, reduced puffiness, and plumping hydration to diminish fine lines.”

TATCHA Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream [reviewed here] is one of my beauty staples, and new Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum makes a fine addition to the regimen. The serum comes in tube with a ceramic tip that makes the eye area feel cool, instantly depuffing and reducing the redness and irritation. Redness in particular is a very topical issue for me, because the outer corners of my eyes always turn red after I remove makeup, even if I’m using the most gentle products. That’s just the way my skin reacts, and I haven’t found a product that doesn’t cause that yet, so I always rely on gentle eye products to negate that effect.

However, even though my experience with the new TATCHA Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum hasn’t been long, it replaced other eye serums I was using, because it simply outperformed them all overnight. Now I have several half-empty tubes I don’t know what to do with, which is a good problem to have when you find your HG product, I suppose.

TATCHA Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum & Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate

In addition to being a brilliant depuffer, this eye serum made my undereye area feel extremely soft and provided long-lasting moisture that I thought only oils could provide. I currently use this eye oil as my overnight treatment, and new TATCHA Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum completely eliminated the need for it. I still recommend that oil to anyone looking for an all-natural solution, but I just love my new eye serum more.

I also wanted to share this beautiful music video created for TATCHA by Emi Meyer. Stroll the streets of Kyoto, visit ancient temples, and marvel at the elegance of a modern day maiko Mamefuji [geiko in training] in this stunning art piece. Bridging two worlds, the video is a poetic love letter to the city’s magic.

Bottom line: I realize that I rave about TATCHA products all the time, but this duo is absolutely fantastic, especially the eye serum. It’s one of those steps in my beauty routine I thought was unnecessary, but now I find it essential for maintaining the delicate undereye area. If the skin around your eyes is dry, dehydrated, or simply craving some extra moisture during the Winter months, this is a fabulous product to try! If you are new to TATCHA I also highly recommend their cleansing oil, mist, and moisturizer for sensitive skin.

I recently tried one of their lotions, and I’m in love. I’m going to check out that gelee, especially. This brand is so amazing, and is so luxe.

There are some brands that ask exuberant prices for their products, but everything about them screams “cheap”. Tatcha is on a whole another level, it’s luxury done right.

I agree, the presentation blew me away. That orchid made the perfect accent!

That little spoon is too cute! I have a few products that come with something like that. I have tried sample sizes of Tatcha products and love them. I really need to invest in full-sized.

It’s great that they have travel-sized options, isn’t it? Which Tatcha products did you like the most? I’m personally a big fan of the oil cleanser.

I’ve always wanted to try Tatcha because everyone who’s tried their products loves them. The only thing stopping me is the price.

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:08 pm

TATCHA products are definitely on the pricey side, but fortunately they have travel-sized options for almost everything. I think it can be worth your time to try a few samples first.

I adore Tatcha–my favorite products are the Camelia Cleansing Oil and the Deep Hydration Firming Serum.

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:06 pm

Fabulous choices! That cleansing oil is one of my all-time favorites as well.

  6. February 1, 2016 / 8:43 pm

    My skin would love these.

I love that it includes an applicator!

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:04 pm

Me too! I always wish all jar moisturizers came with spatulas – so much more sanitary that way.

Sounds terrific. I have to get into Tatcha products more.

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:05 pm

It’s nice that they offer travel-sizes for most of their products, since the line is quite expensive.

  9. February 1, 2016 / 10:41 pm

These look and sound amazing. One day, one day, I will treat myself to a tatcha product or two.

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:05 pm

Make sure to try the travel-sized samples first, they even have kits tailored for your skin type. Worthy investment!

  10. February 1, 2016 / 11:23 pm

I freak out when skin care products come with spoons. It’s so detail oriented and really elevates the product.

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:04 pm

Right? It suddenly feels so fancy and grown up. Like shoes that come with dust bags.

I really should try Tatcha. I read nothing but rave reviews!

    • February 24, 2016 / 3:00 pm

I think you would really appreciate their formulations and aesthetic.

That eye serum sounds lovely. The outer corners of my eyes turn red and distressed while removing eye makeup as well, especially mascara 🙁 Avoiding wipes in favour of liquid removers seems to help a little. Just a little bit.

    • February 24, 2016 / 2:59 pm

Girl, those red spots are always so tricky to treat 🙁 I swear, I get them every time I have to remove mascara or eyeliner.

Always nice to see a fellow TATCHA fan 🙂 These two are now available in travel size!
