Summer is in full swing, but many of us still didn’t get to do anything fun. Yep, that’s me, I’m that “someone”. Somehow, summer is slipping away and yet I haven’t participated in any of the activities on my bucket list, so I decided to finally do something about it. 1 // Amopé™ is the latest addition to my collection of Amope footcare foot files. I bought my first one years ago and periodically upgrade them when the latest version comes out. This is hands down my favorite way to achieve sandal-ready, smooth feet, and it’s so easy to use, too! The exfoliating spinning attachment is sprinkled with finely ground diamond crystals that make my feet feel super soft after one use. 3 // Kensington Books has a couple interesting female-driven summer reads that are full of suspense and plot twists you don’t see coming. The Girl Who Survived by Lisa Jackson (Indie Bookstores // Amazon) is a psychological thriller that puts a creepy spin on the classic “Final Girl” trope, in the best traditions of slasher horror movies. The Wife Before by Shanora Williams (Indie Bookstores // Amazon) features a diverse cast of characters and a protagonist with a traumatic past, exploring issues like houselessness, financial insecurity, and relationship abuse. Both books are easy to read and make the perfect beach or poolside companions. You bet I’ll be bringing both of these on my 15-hour flight to/from Hawaii!
