It’s been forever and a day since I last received a Stitch Fix. Honestly, I adore the service and the only reason I didn’t get my box sooner is because I’ve been on a weight loss program and didn’t want to buy things that will probably be a size too big in a few months. Now that my metabolism has slowed down a little I figured it’s about time I entrusted myself to a team of talented Stitch Fix stylists.
HOW IT WORKS: In a nutshell, Stitch Fix is a personal shopper service – for a $20 styling fee a specially designated Stitch Fix stylist will put together a package full of fashionable items, all according to your style profile. This fee will be applied as a credit toward anything you keep from your shipment, and if you choose to keep it all, you will get an extra 25% discount. Keep what you like, and send back everything you don’t want within 3 days in a convenient prepaid envelope. You can choose either to get a one-time fix, or to subscribe on a monthly basis. In December I got Vivi as my stylist. Vivi meticulously researched my Pinterest board for inspiration, and also consulted my super complicated personal profile at Stitch Fix to find just the right pieces. I also loved her personal message welcoming me back to Stitch Fix, after all it’s been a while.
Here’s what Vivi selected for me this month:

I asked hubs to help me snap a few pictures, because normally I have to use a floor mirror, so the quality is never great. For my first outfit I wore Mavi Mylee Tulip Hem Skinny Jean with Le Lis Bickenfall Crew Neck Blouse and Bay to Baubles Adella Coral Branch Necklace. The jeans were a smidge too long on me so I could only ever wear them with heels [curse those short legs!]. I loved the tulip hem – it really was a cute detail just as Vivi said, and I’ve never seen anything like it.
The blouse was airy and comfy, and I liked the rolled up sleeve look. The buttons holding the fabric are actually upholstered with some kind of black leather or pleather, making the piece appear even more stylish [yup, that’s me goofing around up there!]. And I swear, almost every single item I’ve ever gotten from Stitch Fix was a perfect or near perfect fit!
For my second outfit, I kept the necklace on and swapped the jeans and the shirt for Skies are Blue Evanna Dress and 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan. Both the dress and the cardigan fit me like a glove. I was most impressed with the fir of the dress since it doesn’t have much stretch to it. After losing weight I went up a cup [how does that even work??] and down a size, so most size S items are too tight in the chest and loose in the waist, but not this one. The cardigan was nice and stretchy, and felt very soft on the skin, just like a proper cardi should. P.S.: That second photo makes makes my back look like I have a weird hunch! It’s just an unfortunate angle, but I wanted you all to see what the dress and the cardi look like from behind.
I want to give a special mention to Bay to Baubles Adella Coral Branch Necklace for really making these outfits look extra amazing. I can see myself wearing this beautiful piece with a ton of clothes already in my closet! I still have a couple business days to think what I want to keep and what I want to send back, but I definitely firmly decided to keep the necklace no matter what.
