SquareHue March 2016 Review, Swatches

I must say, I really enjoy the Adventure Collection this year. It’s like taking a world trip, one nail at a time. This time SquareHue is taking us to pub crawl Dublin with this lovely Spring-inspired trio. Without further ado, here’s my SquareHue March 2016 review!

HOW IT WORKS:

For $21/month, SquareHue subscribers receive a limited edition collection of 3 carefully curated season-appropriate nail polish colors. Alternatively, the company recently launched a 2-polish box variation that costs $10.99/month + Shipping & Handling. Each month has a distinct personality to suit a variety of dress needs. Quick drying “5-Free” Clean formula does not contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Camphor or Formaldehyde Resin. Click here to subscribe.

First polish in the collection, St. John, is a gorgeous sky blue creme that is so opaque I literally used one coat for these swatches. Can’t wait to wear it with my white dresses this summer!

Second polish, Temple Bar, is a gorgeous orange creamsicle creme that is unlike anything else in my collection. I have several orange nail polishes but none as delicate as this one. The formula is also opaque, but a tad thinner than St. John, so I am wearing two coats to give my nails extra thickness. This is another pedi-perfect stunner that will surely become a summer staple.

And lastly, Bridge Inn is an ivory off-white crelly with microglitter mixed in. It’s been a while since I wore textured polish so I immediately slapped on some glossy top coat without even realizing that I’m missing out on the loveliest eggshell finish. The formula is on a thick side [like most textured polishes], so I totally caked it on for the swatch above. On my second attempt I applied it without a base or top coat and just allowed to dry on its own. Much better that way! And can we just all agree that it can work as a beautiful bridal nail color?

MY THOUGHTS:

I am really excited about this trio because every single color is perfection and I’ll definitely use all three of them a lot in the upcoming months. Someone with a huge nail polish collection probably won’t be wowed by “yet another baby blue”, but after my massive destashing last year I am left with maybe 30 polishes total and all of them happen to be in classic neutral shades.

SquareHue April 2016 Review, Swatches

Thanks for making it all the way to the bottom of my SquareHue March 2016 review, haha! I know a lot of people come here to see pictures, and I really appreciate those of you who take the time to read the text, too.  Anyhow, here’s the spoiler hint for SquareHue April 2016 box! SquareHue is taking us to Skydive Interlaken, and the photo inspiration kinda makes me think we’ll certainly see another blue [which I’m totally OK with], a mirrored duochrome like that guy’s glasses would be really cool to get, too, and maybe a pink. I don’t know about you, but I’m itching for some bright pink, because it’s been a while since we got one [last one we got was last July!]. What do you think, am I on the right track?
