The first color in the collection is called Palm Springs 1950, which is best described as a slightly yellowish celery green with warm undertones and high gloss creme finish. This formula was very pigmented and went on smoothly, without streaks.
The next color is Bel Air 1957, a light pastel baby blue with cool undertones and high gloss creme finish. It was a little bit streaky so I needed three thin coats to even it out and reach full opacity.
Finally, the last shade is Sock Hop 1958, a cool-toned slightly grayish carnation pink with high gloss finish. Like Palm Springs, it has a nice semi-thick formula with great pigmentation, and the color went on like butter.
I decided to get creative and did a simple nail art with all three of these, but not sure it went as well as I planned, since the colors are quite different and kept on clashing with each other. I think next time I attempt to combine these, I should leave it at two shades, and maybe add simple silver or gold metallic accents to the mix.
THE VERDICT: Overall, I thought this collection was cohesive and definitely reminiscent of the 50s. The formulas were great and easy to work with for the most part, and to my own surprise, my favorite color is actually the green – something I almost never wear on my nails usually; it’s just so unique and I don’t own anything like it!

These colors are aptly picked!!! My aunt had the pink kitchen appliances, (same color), and the baby blue in the bathroom. Id love to try Square Hue sometime. It’s on my wishlist. Your dotticure is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too cute!!
Yay, glad to hear they got them right! SquareHue team is usually on-point with their curations 🙂
I love that green! The mani you created is so cute
Thank you! That green is my favorite as well, and I don’t even wear that color often.
Love the nail art you did with these!
Thank you Lisa!
I love green polish, but that celery green would be tough for me to pull off. I actually like how you put them all together in that nail art!
I guess it grew on me after a few days 🙂 Hubs always says that I am too hard on myself, which is true.
