With Halloween right around the corner many of us are already thinking about our costumes, hair, and ultimately makeup. To make your life a little easier I decided to share this step-by-step makeup tutorial with you. Sometimes Halloween makeup [or any heavy makeup, really] can be hard to remove, but I took #NeutrogenaFaceOff challenge and will attempt to remove it all using only one Neutrogena Cleansing Towelette. Let’s see if that does anything!

Today we are creating a look inspired by my muse Snow White, a fictional princess from a world-famous German fairy tale.  Snow White is known for her porcelain skin and red lips, and it’s such a classic look that with the right colors it would look flattering on everyone.

1. I started by mixing my foundation in the lightest shade with some green concealer to neutralize any redness in my skin, then applied that concoction to the face. Don’t worry about looking too ghostly pale, that’s the whole point of it.

2. Draw big black brows. When I say big, I mean it! These brows are almost twice the size of my natural ones in terms of length and thickness.

3. Apply medium brown eye shadow to your top lids, and a little bit along the bottom lash line. I also added a smidge of deep brown in the crease and blended it out to give my lids some definition.

4. Now it’s time to draw a winged eyeliner. It should be thick and bold, but don’t wing it too far from the outer corner of the eye. This is the only part of the tutorial that took me more than a few minutes to do, because, you know, winged eyeliner – nuff said!

5. Now curl your lashes and apply several generous coats of mascara. Make those winks really thick and bushy!

6. I lightly applied some baby pink blush on the apples of my cheeks. Don’t overblush it, though, just add enough color so the face doesn’t look flat.

7. If you want, you can also apply false lashes. This step can be time consuming though, and can be skipped if you’re short on time – the final result will look great even without falsies.

8. And finally, the wow factor – red lipstick. You can use whatever shade of red suits you best, I used this medium red liquid lipstick that also added lots of gloss.

Neutrogena claims that their Make Up Cleansing Towelettes can remove heavy makeup with just one wipe, so I took them up on that challenge and stopped by my local Walmart to pick up a box.

I was skeptical, but tried it anyway, and it was actually true. Of course, makeup wipes will never replace a thorough multi-step cleansing routine for me, but when you come home super tired and just want to crash, they are definitely life savers.

Share your Halloween look and how you use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove your makeup for the #NeutrogenaFaceOff challenge.

Thank you Honey! <3 I’ll let you in on a secret – that skin is harrrrddd work, it’s not the genes! You know you’re just a tad bit obsessed when you stand near a window and the only thing you can think of is whether you re-applied SPF in time LOL. Yeah, I need intervention I think.
