Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Nail Polishes: Swatches and Review

You might have already seen my simple summer nail art post featuring these nail polishes, but I actually got a couple email requests to swatch all four of them individually, so here they are!

Sugar Fix #200
This pure white color looks like wall paint, with similar texture and smell. It also worked as a great canvas for ultra-sheer Royal Icing, so keep reading to see the swatches. I must admit, there’s something oddly appealing about the white nail trend, I feel like it makes even my pale skin look a little sunkissed.

Cotton Candies #700
This bright pink is perfect for pedicures, but I wouldn’t use it again on my nails despite the gorgeous color. As you can see in the pictures, it appears to be quite a bit clumpier than other Sugar Coat polishes. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle or if I somehow messed up the application.

Sweetie #400
Sweetie is a lovely cotton candy yellow, a color of cute baby chicks. It’s a very happy looking shade that has the same feel, smell and texture as Sugar Fix.

Royal Icing #210
Royal Icing is gorgeous, it’s a lovely sparkly baby blue with rose gold. Unfortunately, the formula is ridiculously sheer, so for the first couple swatches I applied four coats just to get it to show up.

Here I used two coats of Sugar Fix with two additional coats of Royal icing on top. Much better!

What do you think about these polishes? Have you seen them at your local drugstore?
