Rose Inc Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color Delphine Swatches & Review
I kind of got out of habit of reviewing my small makeup purchases, but I just recently bought a refill for Rose Inc Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color in the shade Delphine, and knew it deserved a special shoutout on the blog. I’ve had this blush for well over a year and it was the most used single item in my entire makeup collection. I used other blushes too, of course, but Delphine was truly my go-to when I needed to get ready quickly and look polished.
According to Sephora, this blush formula contains “squalane and ceramides to visibly brighten, blur, and hydrate skin with a buildable flush of radiant color,” so I expected it to be creamy and it did not disappoint! From the very first swipe to the last one when I was scraping the remainders off the edges of the pan, the blush stayed soft, creamy, and applied easily on the skin. I was also surprised that it didn’t go off after a few months or start smelling funky, despite all the finger dipping. The formula has multiple botanical oils and extracts, but they must be pretty well-preserved to stay fresh after so long.
Rose Inc Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color ($32 – $18 refill) currently comes in 12 shades, nine of which are available at Sephora, and the rest are Rose Inc exclusive. Delphine is available at Sephora, and that is where I bought my refill as well.
The blush wears well on my combination skin even without primer, and I am always impressed to see it unchanged 8+ hours after the initial application. It melts into the skin without patches or sharp edges and looks so natural! The formula is blendable, easily buildable, and you can also use these on the lips, although I don’t like how this particular color looks on me. I think rosy and berry shades would probably work much better for lip use, but that’s just my personal preference.
I like that Rose Inc blushes are foundation-friendly and don’t lift your base. They are also easy to apply with fingers, brushes, or a makeup sponge – I personally saw no difference, it built up opacity and diffused the edges beautifully either way.
Delphine is described as a “muted peach” and I think that’s a pretty accurate description. It’s like a warm-toned brownish muted orange with a very soft hint of pink. Some of the 12 shades contain shimmer, but Delphine does not, so if you want a blush that is pure color without any glitter or shine, this is the one to try.
