Revlon Parfumerie scented nail polishes have been out for a while now, and I kept staring at them every time I passed by the beauty aisle, so it was only a matter of time before I bought a few of them to try. From the selection, I decided to get Ginger Melon and Fresh Linen.
Ginger Melon is a stunning coral pink cream! It’s very bright, and fun, and really perfect for Summer, but I would totally rock it all year long. The formula is fairly pigmented, and turns opaque in two coats, with a nice glossy finish. Once dry, my nails smelled like juicy melons [giggidy!], with just a touch of ginger.

Fresh Linen is a medium-sheer pearly ivory with satin finish, it’s a gorgeous bridal color and reminds me of a wedding gown. It was a little challenging to apply evenly, because Revlon’s ultra thin brush didn’t want to play well with its pearly formula, leaving streaks everywhere, but I managed to even it out after three coats. While I like the semi-matte finish it sets with, I prefer to top it with Seche Vite for high shine effect. Once the formula dries, my nails were smelling like laundry detergent, I guess that’s Revlon’s idea of what fresh linens should smell like.

Do you need these? Honestly, after experiencing them on my own and reading other bloggers’ reviews, it seems like there are hits and misses in the collection, but I would definitely recommend picking up Ginger Melon, because it has great formula and delicious melony fragrance, that smells almost like the real thing.

I have Autumn Spice of this, I love the color and scent, but unfortunately the scent is gone within a hour or two.
Ooh, I remember seeing that one, it’s so gorgeous! In regards to the scent, Fresh Linen didn’t stay on very long either, but Ginger Melon smelled for hours.
