CONTENTS:

1 // Billabong Aloha Forever Trucker Hat ($17.95) – There’s no way I would have ever purchased a trucker hat on my own, so it’s nice to be able to play around with the trend for a season or two, courtesy of POPSUGAR. Generally, I’m not a fan of trucker hats, but I gotta give props to Billabong for making a sturdy one. It expands in the back to fit a wide variety of head sizes, so it can be worn by men and women.

2 // Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray ($24 for 4 oz.) – Captain Blankenship has been on my radar for a few months, and I was hoping to try their hair care at some point. Mermaid spray works as well as any other sea salt spray, but the fragrance is what sets it apart. You know, most of these sprays smell either fruity or flowery, but this one smells like Italian seasoning – very herbal and fresh. Love it!

3 // The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid ($26) – Once in a while POPSUGAR includes a book in our boxes, and this time they delighted us with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I am familiar with this piece, so I am going to donate this copy to a local library. Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say there’s one major twist you just wouldn’t expect!

4 // Aloha Collection Ocean Coco Palms Pouch ($16) – This pouch is one of those things you never knew you needed, or at least for me it was. Whenever I go to the beach or the pool, I never know what to do with my wet swimsuit once I change into a dry one. I avoid tanning, so for me sitting in the sun, waiting for it to dry on my body is not an option. Well, now I can just put it in this bag, zip it up, and go home. Yay for convenience!

5 // NCLA So Rich Mermaid Tears ($18 for 0.5 fl. oz.) – I know I need to be better at using cuticle oil if I want pretty nails, but I just can’t seem to remember to apply it every day. Is it just me? It’s one of those products, along with foot cream, body lotion, and heat protector for hair, that I maybe remember to use 50% of the time at best. This seems like a nice oil, though, so I will keep it on my night stand, and hopefully remember to use it.

6 // Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash ($0.99) – These cookies were delicious, I wish there were more of them. The flavor is something between a traditional shortbread, gingerbread, and ginger snaps – and I love all three of those things! Besides, I couldn’t resist giving Luna a cookie stache 🙂

7 // Meri Meri Party Straws ($5.95) – How cute are these paper straws? They’re perfect for a little party or a picnic at the beach. I am going to save mine for cocktails. 🙂

8 // Starbucks Frappuccino Coffee Drink ($2.19) – We usually get one-two extra products from POPSUGAR sponsors, and this time it was a bottle of Starbucks Frappuccino. Hubs and I actually bought these before for traveling, they’re very sweet and keep you awake for a few hours. This one tastes great both hot and cold. 🙂

BOTTOM LINE:

I have two very clear “loves” this month – the pouch for wet swimsuits, and the hairspray. Okay, the cookies too, so make that three. I’m just trying not to think about sweets right now since I want to lose some weight this summer, but these were seriously delicious. Still on the fence about that trucker hat, but I know it can look totally chic on the right person.

I have to look into that book. And I have a little tin of cuticle balm and I’m pretty good about hitting it at least once a day, but my cuticles are in bad shape and I’m always reminded lol

I was pretty happy with the June box! The Cuticle Oil and Sea Salt Spray were possibly my favorites in it
