Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub Review #PerlierOnHSN

Who doesn’t like a good scrub? I sure do, and I’m always on the lookout for the one that’s effective, gentle and smells good. I was also going to add the looks criteria, but that’s just shallow! 🙂

During my search, I came across Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub, which promises to rid me of my dry elbows after just one use and make the rest of my body baby soft.

Perlier products always have a luxurious feel to them, maybe because they’re made in Italy using the finest ingredients, or maybe because the company is ran by an Italian entrepreneur with royal background. Literally. Scipione Antonio Borghese is the first son of Prince Francesco Borghese and his wife Princess Amanda Borghese. Scipione started working with his father in 1990 and helped him launch many of the largest upscale Cosmetic brands in the USA, some of the bigger names include Fendi Perfumes, La Perla Perfumes, Diego Della Palma, Gayle Hayman and Orlane Cosmetics just to name a few. With such illustrious background I really can’t help but feel very special when using Perlier products, and this scrub was not an exception.

Many of you know two most common types of body scrubs – salt based and sugar based, both of which will eventually melt into your skin as you use them. Perlier Volcanic Thermal Spa Thermo Renewing Scrub is different, because instead of the traditional salt and sugar it uses volcanic ash and minerals of all sizes and shapes as exfoliating agents, and they won’t melt until you wash them off. This type of scrub ensures that you can keep scrubbing the same spot until you thoroughly slough off the rough patches, instead of having to reach for more product.

As good as it sounds, this scrub has cons too. For instance, it’s very easy to overscrub and irritate the skin, because, like I mentioned earlier, the product won’t just disappear after a certain number of rubs. I’ve done it a few times in the past and the result was not pretty, so watch out! However, if used correctly, it can be a perfect exfoliator for your driest spots, like elbows and knees. I would recommend starting with those areas first just to get the feel and the strength of this scrub before moving on to gentler parts, but no matter how you end up using it, you’ll know right away if you like it or not 🙂

Hi Elise! Yes this scrub is definitely scented, and the label lists Fragrance as the 8th ingredient.

It might look like an average scrub, but it sure doesn’t feel like one 😉
