Hoarding my Birchbox points all year and redeeming them for something nice around Christmas time has become something of a tradition for me. I have to admit I snapped once a few months ago and partially spent them on a makeup brush, but for the rest of the year I managed to stay strong and accumulated 500 points [for those that don’t know, that’s like $50].
Birchbox released several Limited Edition Holiday boxes pretty early this year, so I wasn’t sure if I should wait for something better to come along, or cash in right away. After looking at Vanity Affair box packed with over $300 worth of glamorous beauty swag, I knew I had to have it! Birchbox sells it for “only” $98, which is still a lot, but in conjunction with points and a well-placed coupon, this is probably one of the best deals I will score this year. In my case, I spent 500 points and used TAKE20OFF code which gave me a 20% discount, so the grand total was $28.40!
