It’s been several months since my last Empties post, but the series is back. I have no idea where all of my old empty bottles went, so this post will only consist of my December stash. Let’s dig in!
Etude House Milk Talk Body Wash – I’ve been savoring this cute little body wash for several months, and it always cheered me up on a bad day. The scent is simply heavenly! The formula is super gentle and makes lots of chocolate-scented bubbles that feel like souffle on the skin.
The Skin House Galactomyces Cream – This has to be one of the best moisturizers I received in a Memebox, and I used it til the very last drop. It worked wonders for my combination skin, making it immediately soft and supple without the stickiness. Too bad it comes in a jar and has no SPF, but other than that I thought it was wonderful.
La Mer Eye Concentrate – I used it up only because it’s La Mer, so I expected great results, but honestly I like my TATCHA eye cream a lot better. I wouldn’t purchase it.
Le Metier de Beaute Dual Action Makeup Remover for Eyes and Lips – I’ve been obsessed with this gentle makeup remover, and very sad that I can’t buy it anywhere – it’s an exclusive product just for MUAs at LMdB counters. I found a similar remover from Erno Laszlo and it works well, too, but LMdB would have been a much better value. I’d totally purchase it if I could.
Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter – It took me forever to use up this body butter because I like to alternate them depending on my mood, but the jar is finally empty. Although a very lovely product, it comes with a steep price point. I wish I could get more because I did like it a lot, but I almost never spend $40 on a body lotion, with rare exceptions [I have a weakness for L’Occitane products].
Pisteo Bright & Pure C Serum – Remember this little ampoule from a recent Thanksgiving Memebox? My skin takes Vitamin C really well, so it’s been my brightening ingredient of choice for a long time now, and this serum really made a difference in the appearance of my post-acne scars. The results were not just gradual, they were drastic, so if you are struggling with hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, and you don’t mind Vitamin C products, it’s totally worth it to try and swap for more of these ampoules with other Memeboxers who don’t realize how awesome they are.
Savane Purifying Toner with Rooibos – This 100% natural toner is one of my favorites, but I don’t think I’ll re-purchase, because I have about 10 sitting in the bottom drawer of my Alex waiting to be tried. I love the aluminum bottle it comes in, and plan to use it as a refillable container for DIY facial mists.
