Spring break is right around the corner, and many of you are probably planning to travel. Whether you’re going back to your hometown to visit family or you’ve booked a hot vacation destination with your besties, now is a good time to start making a list of things to bring. And who doesn’t love a good ol’ “What’s In My Bag” story?
Without further ado, here are some of my favorite travel must-haves.
1 // Sunglasses – A good pair of sunnies is a must for me. Not only do they protect my eyes from the sun, that classic design makes them look super stylish with every outfit and can even hide the aftermath of an awesome party from the night before. I personally prefer polarized lens but any plastic sunglasses are better than none at all. Don’t forget to pack them!
2 // Statement necklace – I love fast-fashion costume jewelry, especially when it comes to bold statement pieces. Right now I am obsessed with this gold metal branch necklace that looks like a large chunk of coral. It brings a certain je ne sais quoi, or pizzazz if you like, to otherwise simple outfits, and makes a stylish statement but in a subtle and very organic way. You can find similar styles in many jewelry stores, but don’t forget to check out the outlets – that’s where I get the sweetest deals on seasonal baubles.
3 // Girly goodies – I have my share of horror stories about not having tampons on hand when I needed them, but no more! These days I always carry Tampax Pearl in my purse and never forget to pack a box or two when going on vacation. You just never know when you or your bestie might need one. I love that Tampax Pearl tampons are slim and discreet. They come individually wrapped, too, so I can easily tuck one or two into my cosmetic bag.
4 // Bright nail polish – Bright nail polishes are my jam. Just waking up and looking at those colors already puts a smile on my face. Two of my vacation staples – some kind of non-standard yellow [like this mustard yellow], and the classic bright coral.
5 // Fragrance – There are about a zillion fragrance bottles on my vanity table, give or take, but I only bring one on vacations. I look for versatile scents that will be appropriate both on the beach and at the dinner table, like this one with notes of Blood Orange, Bergamot, Black Jasmine, and Vanilla.
6 // Lip gloss – When I go on vacation I tend to leave lipsticks behind and opt in for easy to wear lip glosses instead. Two colors is all I need to cover all the bases – a classic red and a bold neon pink.
7 // Face palette + brushes – A versatile face palette is one of my everyday staples. The colors can be mixed together to give the skin a healthy radiant glow, and each pan can be used individually as a blush, a highlighter, a bronzer, or an eye shadow. It effectively replaces a lot of different products making my makeup kit lighter and thinner, which is perfect for travel.
Now it’s your turn to share! What are some of your favorite products to bring on vacation?

Always a dilemma, what to bring on a vacation. I usually go heavier on the clothes & shoes and lighter on the beauty products but I wish I could just bring everything
I see we have some similar options 😀
It’s always hard narrowing down the beauty products when I go away. I love the look of that palette! What is it?
That’s Aerin Kaleidolight. I am obsessed with it!
Great essentials! I always pack a multi-use makeup palette – something like the Lorac Pro to Go Eye and Cheek.
I used to pack jewelry to match every outfit when I travel, but now, like you, I pick one statement necklace. I have this heart with moving gears that I absolutely love, and is a conversation piece, to boot! I can’t get away with packing just two lipglosses, though.. I need lipsticks, and choices! lol.
I love all of the brights! I definitely keep a ton of gloss in my bag!
I pack a lot of samples to keep my bag light, lol.
I like at least 3 lippies in my bag!
Dry shampoo!
I just came back from my trip and I packed mostly samples (haircare, mascara, foundation, etc). I didn’t skimp on my colors though!!
