It sure feels like I was just complaining about the weather being too cold, but it suddenly got nice and warm here, so I can finally enjoy the outdoors without having to wear ten layers of clothing. Warmer weather also means that I am now craving different types of snacks. When it’s cold out, I usually think about something warm and hearty, but now that I can actually sleep with my windows open, I found myself wandering around the Frozen Foods aisle for ideas.
I am already a big fan of Nestlé Outshine Bars, you can find a variety of their Coconut Water Bars, Fruit Bars, and Fruit and Veggie Bars quite often in my freezer. On my last trip to Walmart, I stocked up on my favorites, and also spotted a new variety that I haven’t seen before – Outshine Simply Yogurt Bars that come in seven flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Pineapple, Peach, Lemon, Mango, and Strawberry Banana.
I’ll let you in on a little not-really-a-secret: for the past several months I’ve been trying to lose weight, but this time instead of the usual dieting, I decided to do it by making little tweaks to my lifestyle. First of all, I try to move more, which is actually not as hard as I thought it would be – all it takes is at least a little walk every day, and it’s already healthier than just a straight up diet.
Another thing I changed is the food I eat daily, including snacks. New Outshine Simply Yogurt Bars caught my eye, because they’re made with real yogurt, fruit, and fruit juice, and contain live & active cultures, so they are not only a fun and satisfying snack, but they make me feel good, too. And you know what else is awesome? Most of them are only 90 calories per bar! By the way, since making these changes, I already lost 6lbs, which is very reassuring.
P.S.: In case yogurt isn’t really your thing, I recommend trying Outshine Coconut Water Bars instead. They’re made with coconut water and real chunks of pineapple, and contain a fair amount of Vitamin C – 20% of the recommended daily dose per serving. Also, coconut water is loaded with electrolytes, that help your body stay hydrated throughout the day. It pretty much tastes like vacation on a stick, haha 😉
I also want to mention two fun events going on right now. First of all, there’s Outsmart Your Snack sweepstakes, that runs through the end of May. Take it to find your perfect Outshine flavor, and also enter for a chance to win hundreds of valuable prizes, including Fitbit Charge and a year’s worth of Outshine snacks. There will also be Outshine demos at 2,000 Walmart locations, that will take place at the same time as Walmart’s Berry Festival. Click here to find out if your store is participating.

It was about 90 degrees here yesterday – this would have been perfect! 🙂
Oh wow, that’s warm indeed, I bet these would’ve helped!
Your pictures are so good I thought they were sitting on shelves and I thought that is never gonna work with ice cream 🙂 I can’t eat dairy but they sure look delicious 🙂
Girl, it took me maybe 2 minutes to take all of these pics before they started melting, everything was a mess, haha 🙂 Outshine also makes non-dairy frozen snacks – Strawberry Rhubarb was delish.
Yum!
Yum indeed 🙂
These are so yummy.
Right? And low on calories, too.
The coconut water + pineapple ones sound SOOO good!!
They are super refreshing, especially after a workout.
These look and sound delicious!
They are super yummy, and fun to look at 🙂
Sign me up for the blueberry!
Signed! <3
Well, you have now officially made me hungry! lol!
Haha, I make myself hungry every time I look at these, no kidding.
These sound so good!
They are delicious! I was always a big fan of frozen fruit juice and froyo, so maybe I’m totally biased about these.
We always buy the fruit bars vut now I’ll look for those blueberry yogurt bars. They look delish.
Right? I usually buy fruit ones, too, but these must be new, because I haven’t seen them in stores before. When I’m done with this stash, I’ll pick up a few more flavors to try.
Oh my, I’m going to hunt these down! I’m all for healthy lifestyle.
Definitely give them a try! The yogurt ones are fab, and so is Strawberry Rhubarb and Coconut Water Pineapple.
These look good. I need to see if they are available here and try them.
They are currently on a rollback at my local Walmart, making them an even better deal. Let me know how you like them!
Those look delicious! The strawberry rhubarb is unique, and I love that they have fruits and veggies. Perfect for a picky eater in my house! 🙂
I LOVE Strawberry Rhubarb, it’s super flavorful! I also liked the Blueberry yogurt and Coconut Water Pineapple, although that one is probably best after a workout to cool down. Like the regular coconut water, it lacks a flavor punch, but it sure is refreshing.
I love these! I need to pick some up I saw them the other day at Walmart!
For sure! Do you have any favorites? I don’t think I tried all the flavors yet, but Blueberry yogurt, Coconut water Pineapple and Strawberry Rhubarb are my faves in this pile 🙂
I’ve had such crazy sweet tooths lately– I need these!
Yum! These are perfect for sweet tooth cravings, and they’re good for you, too <3
I’ve never tried these, but the pineapple one looks like something both the hubby and I would like.
Awesome! Let me know if you guys end up liking it 🙂 So far my favorites are Blueberry yogurt and Strawberry rhubarb.
Oh YUM!
They look good, don’t they? Don’t even try to resist :))
