Hi ladies, I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long! Today I am sharing the second part of my Mom’s recent Zoya haul. I don’t know about you, but I am so excited to show you her purchases, it’s like peeking into someone’s makeup/nail polish stash. I can’t be the only one fascinated with other people’s beauty collections, right?
In this Part II of Mom’s Zoya haul “trilogy” I will show you three polishes I would consider nude/neutral; some might even call them boring. If you missed Part I, you can check it out here.
The first one, Amanda, is just the loveliest warm nude. Despite its deceptive simplicity, there’s actually a lot going on here. I can spot hints of peach, mauve, beige, sand, pink, and even brown; how’s that for boring? I don’t even have to tell you that it’s a great work-appropriate color, it makes the fingers look longer and slimmer, and just emanates that classiness that’s normally associated with “ladies who lunch”. I’m not even surprised that this polish was featured in a fashion section of Wall Street Journal alongside fancy-schmancy designer clothes and accessories.
Next up is Brigitte, a soft creamy cool-toned mauve. It’s a very romantic and feminine shade, it almost looks bridal. Brigitte is one of the newer colors and came out as part of Naturel collection. Now, people who prefer these polishes also probably sport classic styles, and nail art is just not part of the ensemble. So what did Zoya do? They paired colors in Naturel collection to create wearable office-appropriate nail art that looks super chic, just check out their blog post!
Lastly, my Mom thinks this one belongs with the “deep” group, but I think it’s still in the neutral range. We’re talking about Aubrey, another cool mauve, but slightly darker than Brigitte. It’s a great color for Fall/Winter, and I am kicking myself for not ordering an extra bottle.
All of these colors are really pigmented, and the formulas glide on effortlessly. I never have problems with Zoya polishes, it’s one of those few brands where I know I’m going to love every single shade and that they will last forever on my nails. Keep in mind that while most people agree that Zoya polishes are superior, there are always people who can’t get the formulas last even a day, I know a few people like that. In the end I guess it’s all about body chemistry.
Beautiful colours!
Thank you lisa, i’m happy that you like them, too. Neutrals really go with everything, don’t they?
