My Favorite All-Natural Beauty Products

We all know that natural products are good for you, but not all of us follow an all-natural routine. I don’t exclusively use them either, but I thought I’d write this post to share some of my favorites.

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser
This gentle divine-smelling scrub is currently my favorite bi-weekly exfoliating treatment. I first got a chance to try it after receiving a small sample in my Birchbox, and have been obsessed with it ever since. My skin improved after the very first use: my pores looked smaller and it actually got the grease out better than another scrub I was using at the time. After my sample ran out, I knew I had to get more. Now after 4 weeks of use, it cleared out the pores on my nose so well that I don’t feel self-conscious when standing close to someone anymore. It’s quite expensive, but to me it was worth every penny.

Seventh Generation Skin Serum: Hydrating Boost with Jojoba, Acai and Passion Flower
I received a free sample of this product from Lucky and Seventh Generation for use in connection with this blog, and it was a very unexpected discovery. I use a lot of Seventh Generation household products and never really considered them as my first choice for skin care products, but this serum made me interested enough to try out their entire line. This serum is basically a blend of hydrating oils which you can use on your face, body or even hair. I’ve been using it at night mostly, because it’s too hot to use oils during the daytime over here. Anyway, I put one squirt on my face under my night cream, and mixed two-three squirts with my body lotion, and I always wake up with the softest skin! I don’t recommend using it during the day, unless you have super dry skin.

Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil
Almond oil is actually one of my staples, I use it every time my skin throws a fit. So whenever it feels tight or flaky or patchy, I put this oil on right after the shower when the skin is still moist and warm so it spreads easily, and it fixes those problems right away. It also works well as a gentle makeup remover or a hair treatment, so when my scalp feels itchy I just massage some oil into the roots, wrap my hair in a towel and walk around like that for as long as I can. It really is a versatile product!

Savane Purifying Toner
I received this toner in my Yuzen box a few months ago, and it’s one of the few that actually seem to work for me. It noticeably tightens the pores and at the same time provides a slight moisturizing effect. Sometimes on especially hot days I just use this toner and nothing else on my face, and reapply it from time to time to freshen up. I like the fresh herbal fragrance and the fact that it doesn’t make my face feel sticky like some other toners.

LAVANILLA The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla
I’ve always wanted to try this deodorant so I bought the travel-sized version at Sephora. To be honest, it’s definitely not comparable to traditional aluminum antiperspirants in terms of keeping off the BO, so I have to reapply 2-3 times a day and because of that I only use it on the days when I don’t expect to do any physical activities. It doesn’t have a very traditional vanilla scent, instead I think it has more floral/woodsy notes, which are nice too, but could be a disappointment to the “cupcake” fragrance lovers. It’s really hard to find a good all-natural aluminum-free deodorant, and this one has been the most effective so far from the ones I tried, but like I mentioned earlier, it’s not nearly on the same level as Secret or Degree.

That Suki face cleanser is amazing! I got it in my Birchbox as well and had to buy the full size. Did you ever end up trying the Michael Todd Charcoal Jojoba cleanser? That is also quite awesome as well for a natural exfoliating product. My skin is acne prone and crazy and it’s a bit gentler than the Suki cleanser so I find that it’s better to use when I’m not having a good skin week.

Still haven’t tried Michael Todd, it’s just standing on my bathroom counter and waiting for its turn, but thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely find an excuse to open it on one of those “crazy skin” days 🙂

I saw mixed reviews on it, and even my own review is half-positive, but at least it’s healthy, right? Apparently your body has to get used to this type of deodorant, so there will be a few days or weeks for some people when their sweat glands would go crazy for a while and then calm down.

I really want to try the suki product! I have some suki samples that I am excited for but they are single use only. I do have a non-natural scrub from clinique to try out first though.

I hope birchbox sends me the suki to try one of these months. But right now I use the say yes to grapefruit products (the scrub and wipes) and I must say they work great. My skin used to be very blotchy and reddish and this product along with a good bb cream has cleared all that up and I actually have great looking skin now.

That’s wonderful! I heard a lot of good things about Yes To products, but so far I’ve only tried their cucumber wipes and lip balms. I’ll have to check out their grapefruit line next time I’m shopping 🙂
