Nothing worse than being out and about when you get struck by one of those uncomfy feelings. Here’s what I carry around in my bag for those icky occasions!
1. Lip balm – If my lips are chapped in the morning, they will stay that way and progressively get worse if I don’t treat them right away. I’m sure we all suffered from chapped lips, and it’s one of the most uncomfortable feelings. Not to mention feeling self-conscious about it, like the whole world is staring at them. I mean, if you don’t carry a lip balm in your purse I don’t think we can be friends. Just kidding! But seriously, it’s a must-have; end of discussion.
2. Nail file – It’s all that stands between a tiny split and a major disaster, with bleeding skin and hangnails. I don’t think I will ever go out without one, not even to get groceries. I’m dead serious.
3. A pocket mirror – DUH! Isn’t it uncomfortable when you feel like you might have something stuck in your teeth with no way to really see it? What about having lipstick on your teeth? Or a smudged mascara? There are a lot of uncomfy situations a mirror can save you from, so always carry one in your purse!
4. Sunscreen – I know it’s not an essential for everyone, but it is for me. I always feel extremely uncomfortable when it seems like my skin is being baked in the sun with no way to prevent sunburn. Like that one day a few weeks ago when my family spontaneously decided to play a game outside, and I was totally not prepared for it. Oh wait, I was!
