Introducing Glamorable's annual Mother's Day Gift Guide, the 2016 Edition, featuring some of my personal favorite beauty products. Happy shopping!!

Mother’s Day is only a few short weeks away, so it’s time to start thinking about gifts for the most important women in your life. Whether it’s your mom, grandma, aunt, mother-in-law, mentor, or another inspiring female figure, this carefully selected list has something for everyone. This year I decided to keep my list beauty-focused and selected some of the best products I recently tried. That’s right, everything in this year’s Mother’s Day gift guide was chosen because I tested all of these products myself and found them gift-worthy!

Introducing Glamorable's annual Mother's Day Gift Guide, the 2016 Edition, featuring some of my personal favorite beauty products. Happy shopping!!

1 // FarmHouse Fresh Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask With CoQ10 [$22 for 3.25 oz, available here] – Love chocolate but hate the calories? This mask just might be the next best thing! With the consistency and the fragrance of a rich chocolate pudding it feels more like a dessert than a beauty product. But don’t be fooled by its whimsical appearance: this chocolate mask is designed to firm and smooth the skin, leaving your face youthfully smooth, fresh, and visibly lifted.

2 // Jane Iredale Starter Kit [$55 for 1 kit, available here] – The perfect introduction to Jane Iredale, this kit includes everything to get you started on a journey to beautiful skin. Known for its exquisite mineral products, this brand is ideal for those looking to invest in high quality cosmetics that provide skin caring properties as well as vibrant color. The kit includes Smooth Affair luminizing primer, awaed-winning Amazing Base and PurePressed Base, POMMISST setting spray, and a bonus makeup brush.

3 // Viseart ParisEyeshadow Palette Neutral Matte [$80 for 1 palette, available here] – This is the most universally flattering palette I currently own, and I can’t imagine my life without it. At $80 this this a big splurge for my beauty budget, but so so worth it in the end! If your giftee is into neutral makeup they are sure to love this one.

4 // Botanic Farm Salmon Egg Hydrogel Eye Patch [$22.99 for 5.6 oz, available here] – I got to try these for the first time very recently but I’m already in love! They make a great alternative to my other favorite eye patches from my;pu, which are much harder to find in the US. These teardrop-shaped hydrogel mini masks are perfect for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, and niacinamide in the formula brightens the area over time, diminishing dark circles and discolorations.

5 // MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Otherearthly [$32 for 0.35 oz, available here] – I rarely include MAC products in my gift guides, but I found this one to be particularly exceptional. Released only a few days ago this Limited Edition skin luminizer includes three gorgeous highlighter colors that can be used alone or swirled together to give the skin really beautiful pinkish glow.

6 // DECLÉOR Hydra Floral Anti Pollution Gel Cream [$67 for 1.7 oz, available here] – I’ve been testing this moisturizer for the past couple of weeks and it’s fantastic! This will make a wonderful gift for someone with normal, oily, and combination skin in need for a boost of hydration. This soothing gel works miracles to revive tired, dull complexion, giving it radiant glow from within without feeling sticky or greasy. Full review coming soon!

7 // Sabon Facing Beauty Facial Kit [$44 for 1 kit, available here] – This kit comes in a handy cosmetic pouch packed with luxurious travel-sized beauty essentials for the perfect SPA night in: full-sized hair band, a facial exfoliating mitt, travel-sized Rich Moisturizing Facial Mask, Lemon Mint Face Polisher, and Green Rose Moisturizing Face Cream [which smells heavenly, by the way!].

8 // Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color [$35 for 0.13 oz, available here] – I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of my all-time favorite lipstick formulas. I don’t know how Bobbi Brown did it, but these lippies look great on everyone. Nourishing formula softens the lips, making them appear fuller without being patchy, streaky, or emphasizing lip lines. Perfection in a tube!

9 // Amarte Aqua Cream [$93 for 1.7 oz, available here] – Remember I raved about this moisturizer a few weeks ago? In case you need a refresher, this lightweight antioxidant-rich gel-cream contains 1% retinol and arbutin that can help even out skin tone and diminish the look of enlarged pores, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

10 // COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence [$24 for 6.2 oz, available here] – My list wouldn’t be complete with some kind of Korean essence on it, and this one is really universal. This is a straightforward hyaluronic acid essence that can enhance any beauty routine, no matter which skin type you have. Oily, dry, or normal: every skin type benefits from increased water retention.

11 // Tata Harper Natural Glow from Head to Toe Gift Set [$115 for 1 kit, available here] – I’ve been a fan of Tata Harper products for years and even repurchased one of their lip/cheek pots a couple times. The skincare in particular always has a luxurious feel to it, and the green glass packaging reminds me of picking up polished sea glass pebbles on vacation. Oh, and did I mention this kit smells like jasmine? No, not the cloying chemical kind, it really does smell like the real thing.

12 // Artis Elite Smoke Collection [$32-$350 per brush, available here] – These unique expertly crafted makeup brushes make perfect gifts for the girl that got it all. A full collection will definitely make an impressive [and expensive!] present, but if you had to pick individual pieces I am personally partial to Oval 10 for foundation, Circle 1 for concealer, and Linear 6 for eyeshadows.

13 // Phyto Phytoplage Essentials Set [$56 for 1 set, available here] – High end haircare is not something most women splurge on, which makes it an exciting gift to receive. With summer fast approaching it’s time to think about shielding our beautiful tresses from the sun, and Phytoplage series can help with just that. This set includes three must-have products to wash out chlorine and product buildup, protect the hair from UV rays and sea salt, and restore bouncy softness after a day in the sun in three easy steps.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Well, that’s it, folks! I hope this Mother’s Day gift guide inspired you to take a look at some of my recent favorites and maybe find something you’d like to grab as a gift for someone else, for yourself, or just because. As for me, this year I’m just shopping for my mother-in-law. I will get to see my mom in August though, and shower her with gifts then. I already told her that she will most likely need to buy another checked-in bag for her flight home. 🙂

P.S.: Those of you viewing this on your desktop or laptop might have noticed that I am experimenting with a no-sidebar layout. What are your thoughts? Love it or leave it? Your feedback is much appreciated!

I’m not a mom, so I’ll have to wait for another holiday for someone to gift me those Artis brushes! lol. They look amazing. That MAC skinfinish is so cool-looking! I’ve never tried one of their skinfinish products, so I may have to start with that one.

I consider myself a mom to my cat and my husband, who are both such babies 🙂

Haha, hey self-care is good, too! 🙂 I buy so much stuff for myself that my husband pretty much gave up trying to pick presents for me.
