Molton Brown recently launched The Patisserie Parlour Gourmand Collections featuring delicious, mouthwatering scents that are absolutely perfect for spring and summer. Using the freshest seasonal ingredients from the English countryside, all three new collections – Delicious Rhubarb & Rose, Comice Pear & Wild Honey, and Exquisite Vanilla & Violet Flower – are inspired by scrumptious desserts, reimagined in the form of candles, bath, and body products. 1 // Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb & Rose collection takes us to Yorkshire and its iconic Rhubarb Triangle, where these radiant pink strands have been traditionally grown for many decades. In February 2010, Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb was even awarded Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status by the European Commission. That’s a big deal! We know that rhubarb goes well with strawberries [yum!], but Molton Brown went for the unexpected and paired it with bittersweet pink rose and musk to create a delicate, vivacious fragrance, that is crisp and fun. It’s a very summery scent, and I will probably save my body wash for those smoldering June and July days when I want to smell good but don’t want to wear perfume.

2 // Molton Brown Comice Pear & Wild Honey collection was inspired by quaint towns and picturesque views in Gloucestershire where local bee farms produce delectable wildflower honey with truly unique flavor. Paired with succulent Comice pears, gardenia, and bisquits, this yummy fragrance takes me back to small patisseries and 5 o’clock tea time with cucumber sandwiches and tiny desserts. This is my favorite collection among the three, and I hope Molton Brown expands it beyond hand care products. I’d love to have a bath oil, candles, and perfume with this fragrance, it’s just so delicious and warm!

3 // Exquisite Vanilla & Violet Flower is the last collection in the trio, but certainly not the least. Inspired by those adorable little patches of violet flowers scattered across the rolling green hills of Somerset, this delicate fragrance invokes a nostalgic, relaxed vibe. The bittersweet violet note is further amplified by iris, freesia, and creamy vanilla, and the resulting scent is simply magical. I have the body wash from this collection, and I always use it in the evening, because of that dreamy soothing fragrance. If you want to go to bed with a smile on your face, this is the one to try. 😉

With Mother’s Day around the corner, it’s still not too late to order something special for the most important woman in your life, and I think anything from Molton Brown Patisserie Parlour would make a lovely gift. Whether it’s a hand cream, a candle, a body wash, or one of the beautifully packaged gift sets [like the one above], these bath and body treats are the little life luxuries that make everyday things like showering or washing your hands extra special. A long time ago my grandma taught me this gift giving trick: an elevated version of something your giftee loves and/or uses daily is a fool proof way to get exactly what they want.
