Mini LUSH Haul

purchased

A few weeks ago I went to visit my Aunt in Indianapolis, and of course shopping was part of the fun! There is a pretty big mall about half an hour from her place that has all sorts of cool shops, including a giant wing dedicated to Nordstrom, a full-sized Cheesecake Factory restaurant, and even a Tiffany & Co store [where I tried all of their sunglasses and totally fell in love with this pair]. And of course I can never resist visiting a LUSH store, so I snuck in when the rest of the group were checking out a sweet sale at Chico’s on the other side of the walkway.

Unfortunately, we were leaving next day, so I just kind of browsed around, trying to figure out if I’m short on any essentials, since I didn’t want to leave empty-handed. I remembered that I only have a tiny nub of Each Peach (and Two’s a Pair) massage bar [which I use as a body lotion] left, and while I love this one, I felt like trying something new when I spotted Shades of Earl Grey, sitting all alone on a different plate.

It’s an honest-to-god deeply nourishing massage bar that doesn’t need all those bells and whistles to do its job. In fact, I think most lushies would probably pass on it because it doesn’t smell strong enough. If you like the smell of freshly brewed black tea with lemons, you will appreciate this one.

It was actually one of the first LUSH products I ever tried, and it was given to me as a Valentine’s Day gift by a guy I briefly dated after high school. It smells absolutely heavenly, and has that signature LUSH fragrance that I associate with the company and all LUSH stores. I use it all over my hair to add volume and extra shine to my dull and flat locks, and so far it seems to be working.

If you go into the store, you can ask for samples even if you don’t plan on buying anything. That’s what samples are for, duh! I asked for a few slices of three moisturizing soaps to try, and my Aunt got a whole baggie of small cream-filled jars and soap slices. I hope she likes everything!
