[OVER] My Thoughts On Mia Mariu Skin Nourishing Oil + Giveaway

Face and body oils are fairly common in my routine, especially during the colder months, but I’m always looking for more products to discover. Mia Mariu describes their Skin Nourishing Oil as a unique multitasker loaded with a blend of potent oils to rejuvenate and moisturize the skin, while also offering aromatherapy properties. Since the brand is new to me, and I only tried a couple of their makeup products [all great quality by the way], I wasn’t sure what to expect, to be honest.

According to Mia Mariu, this blend, free of artificial fragrances and parabens, contains sweet almond, avocado, wheat germ, safflower seed and soybean oils to rejuvenate and replenish moisture, while extracts of lemon, orange peel, and grapefruit peel provide invigorating aromatherapy effect. Fast-absorbing formula also contains rich botanical extracts like chamomile, cucumber and lavender, to soothe and moisturize irritated skin, without clogging the pores.

This oil was quite a bit runnier than what I’m used to, but that made it spread more easily during the application. Despite the company’s claims, it also had a strong citrusy fragrance to it. I think the label probably meant to say “free of chemical fragrances”, because otherwise it doesn’t make any sense.

I used Skin Nourishing Oil exclusively in the PM, on its own, on my body only, because I wasn’t sure if my face can tolerate it. I’m happy to report that my skin felt very soft and smooth in the morning every day after I applied it the night before.

Even though the scent is supposed to be uplifting, I actually found it very relaxing. I’ve been into citrus fragrances these past few months, so those bitter orange and lemon notes hit a home run with me.

Mia Mariu Skin Nourishing Oil – the size is huge for this type of product!

Do you need this? I don’t think this is the “need” status product, but it does feel very pleasant on the skin and performs according to claims. I liked the generous size of the bottle – it’s bigger than most face&body oils I’ve seen, so it should last a long time. I was a little confused about “fragrance free” wording on the label, but I’m hoping the true meaning simply got lost in translation, otherwise it’s very misleading.

PRICE & AVAILABILITY
$25 USD for 4 fl. oz. Available at Mia Mariu.

Want to try this oil, too? Mia Mariu will send one of my lucky readers a full-sized bottle of Skin Nourishing Oil [$25 ARV], and all you need to do is enter in the contest widget below. This giveaway will be open for a while, so no need to rush to enter. All rules are in the widget. US only.

Notice anything different? It’s not the usual Rafflecopter giveaway: I’m trying this new company called Gleam, and so far it looks solid. Their free plan actually offers more options than free plan from Rafflecopter, which is nice. You can check it out here if you run giveaways on your site, too.

It’s pretty nice, but I just wasn’t sold on its runny consistency. The fragrance is very pleasant though if you’re into citrusy scents like I am 🙂

I tried using Gleam and it wouldn’t give me credit for having liked your site on facebook. I know it won’t make much difference – my whole 2 entries – but you never know!

I know, right? I feel like a proper oil should be nice and thick, with none of that runny business. The scent is really nice and fresh though, I like it a lot!
