And here’s the second box from my Thanksgiving Memebox bundle. Luckily, For You and For Me boxes contained different products, so I had no overlaps. If For Me was more focused on skin care, For You is mostly makeup. But really, just like the other box, this one was loaded with stuff, even though some of it felt a bit cheap. Take a look!
HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Shara Shara Miracle Multi Cream – Okay, I am fed up with all the Shara Shara products in my boxes, but I do love multibalms like this one. There’s a balm from One Love Organics that costs an arm and a leg and I really like it, but I used up my jar a long time ago and didn’t repurchase mainly because of the price.
How to use: Apply on the skin, hair, nails as often as necessary. It can be used as a makeup remover, a facial mask, a cuticle balm, a moisturizer, a hair treatment, a body butter… Suitable for all skin types.
This balm works wonders to instantly melt the makeup off my face, and soften my lips, knees, elbows and any other rough patches. The smell can be described as a sweet citrus, very similar to Burt’s Bees lemon cuticle balm, but sweeter. And how cute is that polar bear?
Shara Shara Brush Set – Brushes are always a useful thing to get, but again, what’s with all the Shara Shara stuff? The set features a mix of five brushes with synthetic and natural hair: a powder brush, a lip brush, two concealer/cream brushes, and an eye shadow sponge brush.
How to use: Use the brushes to apply makeup.
Surprisingly, the quality of the brushes is acceptable, but the brush roll is garbage – it looks so cheap and poorly-made with its crooked seams and uneven stitching, it’s almost embarrassing. I ended up taking out the brushes and tossing the roll to put it out of its misery. In case you’re wondering, I thought that the big powder brush and the white concealer brush are the best ones of the bunch.
VIVITO Illust Lumiere Primer – I have a bunch of primers already, but none like this. VIVITO is under the same umbrella company as Shara Shara, but it’s a much fancier brand.
How to use: Apply to the face before foundation. Suitable for all skin types.
This particular primer is a new product, designed to work as a barely-there highlighter; it has a milky consistency with very fine cool pink shimmer that looks amazing on the skin, and not juvenile at all. I normally use primers with warm gold shimmer in them, but this cold-toned rosy hue is perfect for Fall/Winter. And by the way, it smells great, too!
VIVITO Painting Sweet Lip Balm – Everyone received either Orange Farm or Grape Farm colors, and I got the orange one, which would have been my first choice. After trying the primer and loving it, I was expecting to like the lip balm, too, and it didn’t disappoint.
How to use: Apply to the lips using a brush or a finger. Suitable for all skin types.
This lip balm comes in a nice-looking aluminum jar, and looks like a solidified blob of jello; the surface is so smooth, it reflects things [just look at the picture above]. Even though it looks orange in the pot, it gives the lips lovely rosy tint and a subtle sheen. I liked everything about it, but the fact that I have to dip my fingers in that pot. Even if someone might not care about cross-contamination, having to constantly wipe off the tint can be very annoying.
with shyan Nail Lacquer & SARACEN Fluorescent Glitter – There were four variations of nail polish and glitter sent out. You can receive either Blue Violet, Pink Lady, Neon Purple, or Neon Green nail polish [which is what I got], and Black, Blue, Gold, and Silver glitter pot [I got the silver one].
How to use: Apply nail polish to the nails after base coat for full opacity. Dip your finger into the glitter pot while the polish is still wet for a disco ball effect. Suitable for all skin types.
Looks like SARACEN specializes in nail polish and nail art products, and they even have some cute video tutorials posted on their site. with shyan bottles look like Deborah Lippmann polishes, and they have a nice rainbow of colors to pick from. Unfortunately, I have no interest in either of these products and they will be passed along to a friend or a relative.
Pure Smile Essence Mask Sheet – Everyone received a random combination of Milk and Strawberry Milk masks, so you could get one of each or both of the same kind. Pure Smile is a brand that shows up in our boxes all the time, but unlike Shara Shara, I am consistently impressed with their products.
How to use: Spread the mask sheet over clean face and rest for 20 minutes. Take the sheet off and pat in the remaining essence. Suitable for all skin types.
I didn’t use either of these masks yet, but based on my previous experience, I’m sure I will like them both. Pure Smile is a fairly inexpensive brand and Memebox uses their products as fillers, which I don’t mind at all.
Peripera Heart Glow Stick 02 Gold Aura – It’s hard to believe, but I actually don’t have a stick highlighter. I used to have a travel-sized tube of benefit Watts Up, but I used it up a few months ago and never bought another one, because I already have a bunch of other highlighters.
How to use: Apply to the areas of the skin you want to highlight – cheekbones, browbones, bridge of the nose, or use as an eye shadow.
The color of this highlighter is best described as shimmery champagne, it’s like theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer in a stick form, I think those two are actually dupes of each other. Since I love my powder Mary-Lou, I put Peripera in my makeup rotation immediately. It wears well and has cute packaging, what more could I possibly want?
THE VERDICT
I feel like I lucked out, because both Shara Shara products turned out to be pretty good, which in my experience is rare for that brand, so aside from the neon green nail polish and the glitter pot, the box overall was pretty good. I really want to try more things from VIVITO, especially this eye shadow palette that reminds me of Tom Ford quads.
