Someone stop me, I received five Memeboxes last week! Four out of five were really awesome though, so I don’t regret buying them at all. The first one I got was Memebox Special Mask Edition #3. I was running low on sheet masks and figured this would be a great way for me to try some new ones.

HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Purederm Pulp Mask Trio in Raspberry Wine, Aloe, and Pearl

Purederm Pulp Mask Trio in Raspberry Wine, Aloe, and Pearl – I haven’t tried either of these masks yet, but from reading the description I understand that these are regular paper sheets soaked in solution. Raspberry and Aloe varieties contain skin-strengthening collagen, while the Pearl mask is supposed to provide brightening properties. I found two of these on Gmarket for just a buck each, so if I like them I know where I will be able to buy more. I also saw them sold on Amazon with crazy shipping markup.

Purederm Firming Lift Multi-step V-Line Treatment

Purederm Firming Lift Multi-step V-Line Treatment – Until a few weeks ago I didn’t even know what a V-line was, and that apparently many Asian women get it corrected via plastic surgery. In case you are as clueless as I was, V-line is basically two lines along the bottom of each side of your jaw connecting at your chin. People in Asia consider sharp V-lines beautiful, so if you have a square chin [like me] you’re probably not going to be a beauty queen over there. And that’s why they invented all sorts of crazy gadgets and devices that are aimed to make their jawline look more like a V rather than a U, you know kind of like those silly electric workout belts? Anyhow, these V-line masks are part of the package. Each package comes with two compartments – one for the mask itself and one for the firming serum/ampule. First I applied the serum along my chin and jawline, then I took the mask out of the package, stretched it a bit to fit my face, applied it sticky side down to my face, spread it well, and fastened it securely in place by putting my ears through the earloops. I took it off 40 minutes later, and honestly I didn’t see any results. I’m pretty sure it’s a waste of money, but it was still really fun to try.

Purederm Intensive Lip Care Gel Patch
Purederm Intensive Lip Care Gel Patch – that’ll shut me up! 🙂

Purederm Intensive Lip Care Gel Patch – I’ve always wanted to try one of these lip patches! I have terribly cracked lips, so no matter how well I exfoliate and how much lip butter I slather on, they always eventually go back to being dry and chapped. I heard that these lip patches are like 10-minute beautifier, and that they can make even the most hopeless lips super soft. Challenge accepted! Hubs is always creeped out when I use sheet masks, but I bet he liked this one because that would shut me up, if only for 10 minutes 🙂 I can definitely see what the rage is all about, this lip mask seriously works wonders and the effect lasted several days without me having to apply any lip balm. Very impressive!

Dewytree Gold Hydro-gel Mask

Dewytree Gold Hydro-gel Mask – As soon as I spotted this set of f three hydrogel masks, I couldn’t wait to try them. Each pack comes with two mask pieces made of clear hydrogel with fine golden shimmers, for top and bottom of the face. What makes these masks unique is the fact that they’re water-soluble, meaning they dissolve in water after a while. Each sheet is not only soaked in serum, it it a solid serum itself, which slowly melts into the skin during the application using the warmth of your body. Each mask contains real gold powder, natural mineral water and green tea extract to give the skin radiant complexion. I loved these masks, and will be ordering more from YesStyle next time I place an order [I buy my Biore nose strips there, too].

23Years Old 3 Air-Laynic Pore Mask

23Years Old 3 Air-Laynic Pore Mask – This mask comes in a form of a syringe with two large sheets included. They look like oversized versions of Biore nose strips, and are meant to cover not only the nose but also the area around it. So far I used it once, and let me tell you it’s actually kind of unpleasant. The gel stings quite a bit, which makes me think there’s probably a fairly potent acid at work. I don’t think it made my pores noticeably clearer, but then again nothing makes them cleaner than Biore strips. However, I noticed a reduction in pore size, especially in the areas right around the nose. I don’t think it’s something I would purchase just because I didn’t like the constant stinging sensation, but this mask definitely works on some level.

Rubelli Bio Cellulose Eye Patch

Rubelli Bio Cellulose Eye Patch – These hydrogel eye patches were an absolute pleasure to use. They completely transformed the look of my under eye area every single time I used them, making it brighter, smoother, comfortable and well-moisturized. I even wore these patches at night and they stayed on pretty well [I don’t roll around much so maybe that’s why], so I woke up looking well-rested.

Wearing the V-line mask and eye patches that make it really hard to smile, so I have this serial killer look on my face. I also opened the door for the pizza delivery guy that day, I bet he will now see my face in his nightmares for the rest of the week.

THE VERDICT
Overall, this box left a good impression. The only product I didn’t care for was that syringe thing, but everything else was super fun to try. I wasn’t sure if I need to purchase Mask Box #4, but I think I’ll go for it after all, because by the time it arrives I will be all out of masks. And I think this was a pretty good value, too, especially since some of these products were quite effective. What do you think, was this a good box in your opinion?

Do you use sheet masks? What are some of your favorites?
