I go through sheet masks like they’re going out of style, and it seems like no matter how many I buy, I’m always short on them. At first I was into very fancy ones and could totally see myself spending over $10 for nice hydrogel or coconut sheets, but after all these years of constant trial and error it turns out that the secret is definitely in the serum itself. I stopped spending a small fortune on one-time use things, and instead look for great formulas now. That’s how Skin Factory Mask Value Box caught my attention – I tried their masks in the past and was very pleased with the result.
HOW IT WORKS: Memebox is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. At this time Memebox ships to USA, China and Korea. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box probably won’t be available for sale anymore. Click here to see available boxes.

The box came with ten masks inside that represented five different mask types. The first one was Vega Vitaplex Ampoule Mask, which is one of Korea’s top selling sheet masks. If over a million of these is sold daily, this stuff has to be good, right? This multi-tasking formula is loaded with antioxidants, soothing, brightening, and anti-acne ingredients [Vitamin E, Vitamin C, panthenol, green tea seed oil] that address all of the skin concerns simultaneously.
The next mask type was Solution A-Plus Ampoule Mask, which is meant to calm and soothe irritated skin. It’s a great pick-me-up after prolonged sun exposure, so I added it to my stash of Summer must-haves. It contains ingredients like coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil, and chamomile extract, all known for their moisturizing, softening, and anti-inflammatory properties.
E.G.F. Moisture Tox Ampoule Mask was probably the one I was most excited about. EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor, and Human Oligopeptide-1 in this mask is widely used in medicine to treat burns and open wounds. This particular formula works great for treating painful acne, post-sunburn skin recovery, or extreme dryness.
No mask set is ever complete without some kind of uber-moisturizing product, and in this case we got Aqua Skin-In Ampoule Mask. Made with long fiber cellulose, it’s drenched in moisturizing serum that contains Vitamin E, sea water, sweet almond oil, and Hyaluronic Acid. This is the most effective moisturizing mask the brand offers, and it promises to quench even the most parched skin.
Finally, the most unique one of them all is Volcanic Ash Black 3D Mask, with a three dimensional sheet that snugly fits the contours of your face. It’s kind of a cool idea actually, because a lot of my friends don’t like using sheet masks because they slide off the skin and need to be constantly readjusted. This one is made for oily and combination skin and contains Salicylic Acid, bifida ferment lysate, and several herbal extracts to detoxify, re-balance and unclog the pores.
THE VERDICT: This box packed some great value, and all of the masks are amazing quality with ingredients that don’t disappoint. I’m glad I grabbed this one while it was available!
