Recently most of the bundles were sold with contents already revealed, so seeing Leaders Clinic Mystery Box was refreshing. I’ve only tried these masks once or twice before, and no recollection of my experience, so of course I grabbed it to refresh my memory, and because I am a hopeless mask hoarder.
HOW IT WORKS: Memebox is not a typical subscription service. Leaders Cosmetics is a company that makes cosmeceutical products for personal and professional use. Their coconut masks are so popular, that the company opened offices in USA, China, and even Switzerland to meet the demand.
I usually have one gripe with Korean masks – many of them contain denat. alcohol, which irritates the skin and makes every problem worse [redness is redder, dry areas are drier, oily patches are oilier etc], so I always found it counter-productive to add it to skin care products that are aimed to combat these same imperfections. Leaders Clinic formulates their masks without using alcohol, parabens, synthetic dyes, and mineral oil, thus increasing the potency of the ingredients, and reducing the risk of getting breakouts and clogged pores.
Each box contained 10 hydrogel masks made with all-natural coconut pulp [like my favorite Tatcha Deep Hydration Lifting Mask]. It’s a unique material that adheres like second skin, so the mask isn’t sliding off your face. I’m sure everyone who used hydrogel sheets before had that problem at least once, especially if it was one of those two-piece masks.
All ten masks were from Leaders Insolution line, which offers “essential solutions for common skin concerns by penetrating the inner depths of the skin.” They also have Mediu line of that target specific skin problems with higher dosage of active ingredients. We got two Orange Masks for brightening and exfoliating; two Tomato Masks to make the skin supple and radiant; two Brightening Recovery Masks to for addressing uneven skin tone; two Balancing Recovery Masks to combat acne, enlarged pores, and oiliness; one Moisturizing Recovery Mask for deep hydration; and one Lifting Recovery Mask that restores elasticity, plumps, and lifts the skin.
So far I tried one of the Orange masks, and one of the Brightening Recovery masks. Both felt amazing! The one I actually noticed results from was the orange mask, I wish I took a before and after photo because it legit brightened my skin.
Memebox also added a few samples to my box. Seems like people got different goodies, and mine were a small bottle of Goodal Toner and a sheet of three tiny foil samples of more Goodal products. I think it was a nice touch that didn’t go unnoticed!
