I think it’s pretty widely accepted that Memebox Global Editions are the most loved among all box varieties. I like that usually they contain completely new products, not featured in any previous boxes, but of course we had a couple exceptions to this rule in the past. Global #18 continued the tradition of exceptional monthly boxes we’ve all come to expect from Memebox, and I honestly think it was a great one.

HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Purederm Shower Jelly in 01 Brightening Milk – Have you ever tried those LUSH shower jellies? I did for the first time earlier this year, and was not super impressed, although it’s a fun and quirky product that would make a fun gift.

How to use: Place the shower jelly into the net provided, soak it with water, and lather well. Suitable for all skin types.

These jellies come in a jar with a screw-on cap, and a small net attached to the top. You use them by pinching off a small piece of the jelly and lathering it up with the net, but I personally prefer regular liquid body wash or bar soaps.

Dr. MJ Bee Tox Control Cream – Bee venom and honey is now officially one of my favorite ingredient combinations, so now I’m trying to hoard those products in my stash. And Dr. MJ proved to be a great skincare brand, based on my previous experience with them!

How to use: Apply a dime-sized amount to clean and toned skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Memebox card says this cream helps soothe, nourish, and rejuvenate the skin from the effects of environmental damage and stress by restoring the moisture balance and reducing redness. Sounds good to me!

echoice Hand Therapy in Sweet Rose & Shea Butter – I am a big fan of shea butter in products, especially hand creams and body lotions, so this one is right up my alley. There were two variations of these hand creams sent out – the rose one I got, and cherry blossom, and I would have been happy with either one.

How to use: Apply to clean hands as often as necessary. Suitable for all skin types.

I used it a few times, and it feels like a good quality cream. The packaging is perfect for carrying around in my purse, and I like the screw-on cap, so there’s less chance for it to leak all over my bag. The formula is not greasy and absorbs pretty well.

Puresmile Animal Point Pad in Pineapple – I use point pads daily, they are like mini-versions of sheet masks that are applied topically on areas where you want immediant improvement. In my case I use them on my cheeks and forehead, and they work just fine.

How to use: Apply a point pad to dry spots, leave for 15 minutes, remove, and pat in the remaining essence. Suitable for all skin types, especially dry.

There were two variations sent out: pineapple and guava, and I think I would have preferred guava. Each stack of point pads is soaked in essence with pineapple extract [or guava if you got that one], vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and natto gum, that work to deeply moisturize and soothe dry spots. These things really work well, and they’re dirt cheap, so when I run out of the ones currently in my stash, I plan to buy more.

DermaLift Intensiderm Aqua Rich Cream – Memebox sent us three travel-sized tubes of this moisturizer, and it’s really really good. The retail bottle of this contains 50ml, and three tubes add up to 45, so it’s almost like getting a full-sized product.

How to use: Apply to clean face after toner and essence and pat in until absorbed. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

This moisturizer is formulated for dry and sensitive skin prone to redness and irritation, and wow I am so impressed with it. The second I applied it to my skin I could tell it’s high quality stuff, it just sank in and really soothed my cheeks. It reminds me of my favorite Tatcha Indigo creams, which by the way are also blue in color.

Touch By Lee Kyung Min Extreme Shield Master – This treatment in a pen is designed by a popular Korean celebrity Lee Kyung Min. She designed this line of skincare specifically with dry skin in mind, and all the formulas are extra rich so they work well for cold weather and ultra-dry conditions.

How to use: Brush on the ampoule to dry skin areas after cleansing and toning. Use as often as necessary. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

This pen contains precious moisturizing ampoule that should be applied like spot treatment for dry and tight spots area of the face, but not all over. I personally used it under my eyes and on my cheeks, where the skin gets painfully dry, and it worked fabulously!

THE VERDICT
I think this was a pretty good box, and I’m especially happy to get a jar of that Bee Tox cream, that I know I’m going to love. A shower jelly is something I certainly can live without, but I don’t mind it as a filler item that could make a fun little gift. I wish we got more sheet masks instead of point pads, but I just bought the newest edition of the mask box, so I’ll have some more coming to me soon.

Have you tried point pads before? What about products with bee venom?
