And here it is, my Memebox Global #15! Global numbered box editions always come with a variety of products, and can contain the most random stuff. Remember, that one month when we received feminine care products? Yeah, very random indeed 🙂
HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Get It Beauty Box [a Korean version of Memebox] always looked appealing, and I secretly hoped to try it some day, and guess what? Memebox Global #15 delivered the goodies sampled by Korean ladies in September Get It Beauty Box! Four out of six products are exactly the same, the the other two are just not exotic enough to be wowed about, so I’m glad it wasn’t a complete dupe.
Mise en scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack – Deep conditioning hair treatments are my cold weather staples, and now’s the perfect time to start using them. This tube is seriously huge, and seems to be a newer product, at least according to the sticker that says “2014 new”.
Ladies, let me tell you, this stuff smells heavenly! I’m catching notes of lilac, honey, and vanilla, and thinking I wouldn’t mind a body lotion or maybe even a body mist with that fragrance. I’ll be happy if my hair can smell like this I have high hopes for this masque!
Mise en scene Perfect Serum – I have a million and one hair serums open right now, so make that a million and two, because I just had to try it right away. Wasteful, I know, but in this case I prefer to know if the product is right for my hair or not as soon as I can.
Happy to report that it smells as amazing as the deep treatment above, and the effect reminds me of that new Dove hair oil. It contains a lot of silicones, and when I first tried it on one strand, it became so slippery, I was sure my hair would probably suffocate and fall off. Of course, none of that happened, and what I got instead was silky smooth hair that looks like I just visited a salon. Mind you, I underlined “looks”, because these things don’t actually heal your hair, they just make it look good for a day or two. It’s not healthy for the hair to bathe in dimethicone, I know that, but I still use ‘cones for special occasions.
Ariul Stress Relieving Purefull Cleansing Foam – I honestly have too many cleansers open right now, I bet half of them are already so gross, I should just toss them, and open a couple new ones – one for the shower, and the other one close to the sink.
Judging purely by the description, this cleanser seems very ordinary. It supposedly creates creamy foam bubbles that should be rubbed into the skin, and those bubbles will wash away all dirt, dead skin cells, and makeup residue. Yep, sounds pretty plain to me, so it’s going to the end of the cleanser line. Or maybe this will be the one I leave in the shower, we’ll see.
Tonymoly BCDation All Master SPF30 PA++ – We already received a small sample of this BB cream in Memebox Global #8, and I actually loved it so much, I cut my tube open to scrape whatever remained on the sides. It’s lightweight, but highly pigmented, so it offers medium coverage which is perfectly buildable to high without looking cakey.
I like that it provides sun protection, even though it’s only SPF30. Luckily, I have SPF50 mineral finishing powder to top it with. Unfortunately, this BB cream seems to only come in one shade, so if you’re not Fair or Light, you might be out of luck.
miss.age Snail Anti Wrinkle Serum – I normally don’t open skincare that I don’t plan to use soon, but since this serum didn’t have a seal, I gave it a quick swatch. First impressions: brown’ish, thick, gooey, sticky, highly perfumed, and seems to actually work instantly.
The floral fragrance is very strong, but once applied on the skin, it seems to tone down considerably, and I could only smell it if I was directly sniffing the skin. Product card says that it contains 5.5 grams of distilled snail mucus filtrate, which instantly plumps out fine lines and improves skin hydration. I actually think it does that! Hours later after I applied this serum on the back of my hand I can still tell exactly where I swatched it, because the skin in this one area is just so crazy soft, and feels very moisturized. This serum is a godsend for anybody with dry skin, if you can get past the idea of slathering snails all over your face.
Tosowoong Makeon Lip Manicure 30 Seconds 03 Pure Peach – The reason why I don’t buy makeup editions is because I’m not actually super adventurous when it comes to lip colors, and I find this lip lacquer a bit too bright.
I admit though that it does have a very impressive staying power. My swatch just didn’t want to rub off, and I had to use a combination of cleansing oil, makeup removing lotion, and soap to get it all off. This might be a good thing for anybody looking to buy a good quality makeup that actually lasts.
Shara Shara Dark Brown I Wanna Pencil Gel Liner – I was not very impressed with this eye pencil, even though it didn’t seem to be very dry, it still dragged on my lids, and I had to swipe it several times to get the color I wanted.
I much prefer the formula of gel eyeliner pencils we got in other Memeboxes, so I plan to give this one away. Each pencil comes with a twist-up bottom, and a little sharpener.
Super happy about Tonymoly BCDation BB cream, I love that stuff! Just because of this product alone I think the box was worth it to me personally. Miss.age snail serum is probably my close second, because it actually works as advertised, and has the qualities I look for in my Winter skincare routine.
