Memebox Berrylicious Box Review

Lately the boxes didn’t really interest me much, but this one immediately grabbed my attention, mostly because of the theme. Truth is, I have a weakness for beauty products that smell like fruits and berries, so I knew that I really wanted to get this one. Memebox Berrylicious Mystery Box cost more than what we were used to with Memebox Global, but I guess this is the new normal, so it’s pointless to complain. I’m sure Memebox already knows that anyway, since most of us are letting them know with our wallets.

Memebox Berrylicious Mystery Box Review, Unboxing, Discount Codes >> http://bit.ly/1FHVub3 | via @glamorable HOW IT WORKS: Memebox is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. At this time Memebox ships to USA, China and Korea. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box probably won’t be available for sale anymore. Click here to see available boxes.

Memebox Berrylicious Mystery Box Review, Unboxing, Discount Codes >> http://bit.ly/1FHVub3 | via @glamorable Lioele Vita Juicy Foam Cleanser Cranberry – I almost expected to receive a cleanser, because they’re cheap and large in size, which makes the box appear more impressive than it really is. This one is formulated for oily skin, and promises to get rid of dead skin cells, dirt, and makeup residue within the pores. I tried it once and it just didn’t work for me, like most Korean cleansers, because the pH level is through the roof – I didn’t even need my pH testing strips to determine that. I eventually tested it anyway, and as I suspected, my strip showed pH10 which is inexcusably high for a foaming cleanser.

How to use: Work a pearl-sized amount into foam and massage into wet skin, then rinse with lukewarm water. Formulated for oily skin, but I wouldn’t recommend using it at all.

Memebox Berrylicious Mystery Box Review, Unboxing, Discount Codes >> http://bit.ly/1FHVub3 | via @glamorable Skinfood Cherry Milk Soft Hand Essence – An essence for hands, now that’s new! It’s like a serum that you would wear under the hand cream, and it provides additional nourishment and moisturizing benefits. I know that my hands probably deserve more care than they currently do, so now that I have this essence on my bedside table I will actually remember to use it more often. I also love the smell of cherries, and this one smells like cherry ice cream. Yum!

How to use: Massage a small amount in your hands, then top with your regular hand cream for best results. Suitable for all skin types.

Still, I don’t mind trying them for a chance to find some good ones. This cleansing creme comes in a tub, and almost looks like a jar of sour cream, and creamy it is! It feels like a weird mix of cleansing balm and moisturizer on the skin, and doesn’t seem to wash off completely, but for some reason I didn’t really hate that feeling. Instead, my face looked soft and velvety, and I didn’t feel the need to immediately reach for a toner. I measured pH level, and it came up to the perfect pH5.0, which only went up by 0.5 when I added a little water to it – a rare gem among cheap Korean cleansers. I only have one gripe, and it’s the fragrance. This cleanser is very strongly scented, and it would be better if it was half as pungent.

How to use: Spread an almond-sized amount over wet skin and massage in circular motions, then rinse off with lukewarm water. Suitable for all skin types, especially dry.

It works as an exfoliant and a nourishing treatment, and just like the Wildberry Milk Cleansing Cream, it totally looks like something that came out of your pantry. I tried it once so far, and while the results didn’t absolutely wow me, I thought it was very pleasant to use.

How to use: Gently massage into clean damp skin and leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Suitable for all skin types.

I really don’t like lip balms that I have to dip my fingers into, unless they have amazing formula, or come in adorable packaging, like this one – then I’m willing to compromise. It smells like juicy cherries and gives my lips a barely noticeable peachy tint.

How to use: Apply to lips as often as needed.

THE VERDICT: This ended up being almost a “Skinfood Box”, since most of the products inside were from the same brand. I am actually glad that I got to try some of these, because I know I definitely wouldn’t have picked up that cleansing cream on my own, thinking it’s just another moisture-stripping formula. I will also enjoy using the hand essence and the lip balm, because both are useful and different from what I already have. The scrub is just okay, nothing to write home about, but it smells sooo delicious, and that’s the fun part! Now let’s talk about one obvious negative: low retail value. You can easily get all of these products for a few bucks each from websites like KoreaDepart and TesterKorea, but that’s of course if you already know what you’re looking for.
