Mani Monday: Primark Embellish 3D Caviar Manicure

Another week, another Monday, and here I am trying yet another different thing. I know I’m super late to hop on the caviar manicure bandwagon, but I just couldn’t justify spending money on a manicure that wouldn’t even last a day. Besides, all cute Ciate sets are always sold out, and when they’re in stock, they still go for $25/box plus shipping. So imagine my surprised face when I finally saw this Primark Embellish 3D Nail Polish set on clearance for $1.99 at my local Meijer!

They only had one color left – pure black, but that’s the color of the most expensive type of actual caviar after all, so I thought that I really lucked out with this one and bought it in a heartbeat. I must admit, the nail polish really stank, and that got me worried that it might be toxic. I was pleasantly surprised to not see any of the three main offenders in the ingredient list, so it’s at least 3-free.

The black color was easy to apply, and thanks to the slim brush I was able to make precise strokes and not smudge the polish all over my cuticles. Then I sprinkled the nail caviar that came in a separate bottle on my ring finger and waited about 20 minutes for it to set. The result was a very pretty glossy dark, you could even say “goth” manicure with an interesting accent finger.

I sure had my two dollars worth of fun, and then some!

This is really fun! I agree about expensive caviar manicure but this seems like a great way to try it out for cheap and I love the effect with the black.

Super fun, indeed! And totally non-practical, the little beads started falling off after a couple hours 🙂

I was jealous of beautiful nails of several big nail bloggers I follow – mainly Pshiit – and that was the motivation I needed to finally stop biting and start painting 🙂 Jealousy in my case was the best thing that ever happened to my nails!
