For this week’s Mani Monday I’m participating in Mint Manis for Talia Joy honoring the beautiful and talented girl Talia Joy Castellano. This idea was inspired by Talia’s last Instagram picture where she featured three hands – her own, her mother’s, and her friend Tammy’s, all wearing a mint nail polish by POPbeauty. Unfortunately, I don’t have that particular polish, but I remember receiving Blue-Ming in a Birchbox at some point, which is a perfect minty green.
In this manicure I used Color Club Blue-Ming as a base, then lined it with nail tape to form patterns and topped with Color Club Metamorphosis. After that I removed the tape and topped everything with a nice thick coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.
For those who don’t know, Talia was a 13-year-old talented beauty guru who battled two forms of cancer – neuroblastoma and preleukemia – since she was diagnosed when she was only 7 years old. Despite her hardships, Talia had a wonderful personality that gained her thousands of subscribers. She even appeared on Ellen and was named an honorary Covergirl.
