I know this sounds cheesy, but Valentine’s Day is actually a very important date for me, because it’s the day my husband and I finally got engaged after many years of dating. Whenever we go out to celebrate, we always giggle about our past adventures and all the things we managed to successfully cross off our “do before marriage” list, including a couple’s pampering session [I remember our fish foot massages in Thailand, those little buggers tickle so bad!!].
Speaking of pampering, both hubs and I are huge fans of LUSH, and of course we anxiously await the release of their Valentine’s Day Collection each year to see all the cool things they cooked up. One thing hubs and I love the most is their massage bars, so I always get a whole bunch of them and then we vote on our favorites. Right now I’m obsessing over Each Peach (And Two’s A Pair) and he is totally into Dirty Massage Bar, because it smells pleasant but not “girly”. I think all guys like a relaxing back massage to ease the tension in their back and neck after a long day at the office. Even if you and your SO don’t go out or exchange gifts for Valentine’s Day, I’m sure he will appreciate this little extra touch.
Another fun thing we like to do together is jump in the bathtub with our favorite bath bomb or a melt, and watch a show on a laptop. I think by now we probably tried every bath bomb LUSH has to offer, so we’re both excited to discover something new. When my package arrived, it smelled absolutely heavenly, but little did I know it was unicorn dust! #theydoexist
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar was originally launched in Japan last year, and it was so successful that LUSH decided to introduce these worldwide! These adorable swirly pastel bubble bars are all hand-made so each one is unique. The fragrance is an uplifting blend of lavender, ylang ylang, and neroli, which is perfect for a relaxing bathtime together.
Another fun treat we got from LUSH was Floating Flower Bath Bomb, which is pretty large in size and can be easily split into two baths. I am obsessed with all things jasmine, so when I took a whiff of this bath bomb, it was as if I just smelled a large blooming bush – the fragrance is very strong and will most likely linger on the skin. Love it! This star-like flower will deliver some epic me-time for sure.
What are you all doing for makeup this year? You probably noticed that I’ve been experimenting with bright lipsticks a lot, but my hubs actually likes smokey eye and nude lip combo the best, so that’s what I’ll be going for. I’ll let him have his way for once, haha 🙂
