I’m always late with my Love With Food reviews, mainly because my box always takes a scenic route and finally gets to me a couple weeks after the shipping date or later.
The June theme is “Summer Beach Bash” and our boxes included picnic-appropriate snacks. Also, everyone who bought a June box contributed to donating not one but TWO meals to food banks of Oklahoma, which is one of the biggest reasons for subscribing to this box.

Turbana Sweet Plaintain Chips
Dried fruits are among my favorite sweet snacks, and these plaintain chips didn’t disappoint. They were crispy and full of flavor!

Flavrz Organic Drink Mix
I love bringing water enhancers along when we go out to eat, since I always end up ordering water. Unlike my usual Mio which is full of chemicals, this one is made with real organic fruit juices, so not only it is tasty, it’s healthy, too. I probably wouldn’t purchase this same flavor again just because I don’t really like goji berry, but I will try other flavors for sure.

Seaweed Love Roasted Seaweed
If you read my Goodies Co. review from a couple days ago you know that I love seaweed. These ultra-thin rectangular crunchy leaflets tasted ridiculously good, and I’m thinking about ordering more from Amazon, because they’re actually pretty cheap — only 70 cents per package.

SoyJoy Mango Coconut Bar
Finally, an energy bar I actually like! I was so excited that I finally found one that I wanted my husband to try it too, but after he bit into it he spat it out immediately and said it’s one of the grossest things he’s ever tried. Oops, I guess 🙁

Do More Bars Pineapple Coconut Cereal Bar
One word: meh… I’m not into overly sweet things, but even I thought that this bar could have been a tad bit sweeter. Perhaps they could have added some honey into it or something. I get that it’s supposed to be healthy and gluten-free, but I was overall unimpressed with the taste.

Surf Sweets Organic Fruity Bears
Who doesn’t like gummy bears? These taste just as good, except they’re made from organic fruit juices and sweeteners and contain vitamins. It’s a win-win for me!

PUR Gum Pomegranate Mint Chewing Gum
This gum is actually pretty yummy: the pomegranate flavor overpowers the mint, so it tastes very fruity and fresh at the same time. On the package it says that it’s aspartame-free, but I wasn’t sure what it was so I had to google it, and stumbled upon this Wikipedia page. A pretty interesting read, if any of you care to check it out.

Smooze Coconut Mango Fruit Ice
My goodness, I haven’t had a popsicle this good in a loooong time. Out of all of the samples in this box, I loved this one the most. It’s absolutely delicious, and a summertime pantry must-have if you like both mango and coconut like I do.

GoOrganic Organic Hard Candy
These organic Non-GMO certified candies were quite good. They tasted just like any other hard candy, but apparently have way better ingredients. I don’t really care much for these, but it’s a good alternative to regular non-healthy variety.
Overall: 3/5

The verdict: The products in the June box clearly followed the beach picnic theme, and most of them were delicious. It also ended up being my favorite from all of the LWF boxes I received to date.

I had those Turbana chips in one of my favorites post. My fav is the garlic flavor.

Oh I have to try that, garlicky snacks have always been among my favorites 🙂
All of those items look delish and that’s a box I would be interested in subscribing to but does it bother you when the value of the box is less than what you paid?
If I said it doesn’t bother me, I would be lying. I have been very spoiled by beauty boxes which usually end up being worth more than what you pay for them, but I just recently won a 6-month subscription to Love With Food so I actually stopped thinking about the financial side of the experience and started to truly enjoy my snacks. I hope that makes sense 🙂
This looks like a really fun box! I’ve been meaning to try roasted seaweed chips, and those gummy bears sound awesome. But it is quite unfortunate that the value of the box is less than what you paid for it. :/ I might just look at other people’s reviews of the boxes and go out and buy the products individually if there’s a certain one I’m interested in. Thanks for the review!
Mm yes, that’s the thing with all of these food subscription boxes, the value is always pretty low. The only reasonably-priced one is probably Goodies Co, I think I’ve always gotten my money’s worth. But it’s certainly not gourmet and hard-to-find snacks, like LWF 🙁
Ohh this looks like a food box I’d actually like! The popsicle sounds soo good 🙂
Mmm yes, that one was fantastic! :3
Perfect for summer, and contains healthy ingredients.
Surf Sweets are the BEST gummy candies ever- especially the watermelon rings! They have them at the pool where I swim with, and it takes every bit of restraint to walk away from them.
I don’t blame you at all, they are absolutely delicious 😀
