Love Goodly June/July 2017 Box Review - The best of cruelty-free, vegan, organic, non-GMO, non-toxic beauty products and lifestyle accessories.

Raise your hand if you are enjoying the summer! Even with our crazy Michigan seasons I still managed to make it to the community pool a few times. I also may or may not have snuck in a donut float, which technically we aren’t allowed to do, but since I was alone there, the lifeguard let it slide. But I digress…

I know I teased you guys with a sneak peek into Love Goodly June/July 2017 box [partially guest curated by vegan influencer Skully Smith] a few weeks ago, and today I’m ready to reveal the full contents. As always, the subscribers got creme de la creme of vegan, cruelty-free, green, and clean beauty & lifestyle brands, and everything in the box is full- or travel-sized.

HOW IT WORKS:

For $29.95 Love Goodly box subscribers will receive a curated selection of eco-friendly, vegan, & natural products delivered every other month. Single boxes also available for $35. Click here to subscribe.

CONTENTS:

1 // Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovecraft ($20 for 0.22oz) – Easily the most coveted item, and a product that probably prompted a lot of people to subscribe for the summer box when they saw spoilers on Instagram. This was my second time trying KVD liquid lipsticks. First time I bought the color that turned out to be too light, so it washed me out and I ended up returning it. Lovecraft on the other hand is the perfect shade for any complexion. Not only does this deep mauvey pink stays on the lips through light snacks and several cups of coffee [covfefe, anyone?], the color is both dressy and casual at the same time, if that’s even possible. Loving the formula, too: it’s one of the few matte lipsticks that are actually comfortable to wear and don’t suck every ounce of moisture from my already chronically dehydrated lips.

2 // Faby Nail Polish in Look At Me Baby! ($12 for 0.5 fl oz) – Faby is committed to making professional grade, high shine nail polish without using the 5 main toxic offenders, plus a couple extras: DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, TPHP, Paraben, and Xylene. Love Goodly subscribers were sent one of 10 shades, and I got this beautiful summery coral creme called Look At Me Baby! It makes the perfect addition to my seasonal wardrobe.

3 // Gemtye Heart Bracelet ($28) – I have a habit of wearing a hair tie on my wrist, especially in the summer when my hair is a mess by the end of the day and I just want to put it up in a ponytail or a messy bun. Designed by Gemtye exclusively for Love Goodly, these heart bracelets are super cute and they double up as hair ties in a pinch.

4 // Fred + Far Trillion Pin ($12) – I’m so glad pins are back! I used to love them in the 90s when I was in middle school, but the ones available today are so much cuter. This diamond shaped signature “Trillion” pin signifies self-love, so you can rock it on your purse or jacket to flaunt your confident self.

5 // New Chapter Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails Supplement ($30.76 for 30ct) – Beauty supplements are kind of my thing, so I’m always down to trying something new. These capsules are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and certified organic. Unlike regular supplements that list ingredients like Vitamin C, Vitamin E etc, New Chapter Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails is plant-based, so your sources of micro nutrients come from organic reishi mushrooms, organic maca root, organic chamomile, organic artichoke, etc… Love Goodly subscribers received a 15-day supply, which is pretty generous for supplement samples.

BOTTOM LINE:

I don’t think Love Goodly June/July 2017 box will have mass appeal like some of their previous offerings. Some people don’t like getting supplements, while others are not into nail polish, but for me personally it was perfect. I loved the variety of products in the box, and I love that I can use everything. My favorite sample this month is, of course, the KVD lipstick. It’s not the color i would have chosen for myself at the store, but as it turns out, it works well with my skin tone after all.

Every Love Goodly box benefits a charitable cause, and the June/July box gives back to Farm Sanctuary, a leading farm animal protection organization.
