CONTENTS:
1 // Dogeared Charm Necklace ($58) – There was a variety of necklaces sent out, so the designs will vary. I received a very cute gold dipped elephant lucky charm, and already started wearing it as my casual everyday piece. It looks so dainty! Dogeared is committed to helping the environment by making their jewelry pieces from 100% recycled sterling silver and using FSC certified packaging paper.
2 // Pacifica Devocean Natural Lipstick in XOX ($10) – I’ve been using Pacifica products for years, so I am familiar with their makeup formulas. These lipsticks are actually among my favorites because they are richly pigmented and feel like hydrating lip butters. I believe all subscribers will receive XOX, a warm rusty coral shade that will look great on many different skin tones.
3 // Antonym Certified Natural Eye Liner Pencil in Noir ($19) – Antonym is a luxury green beauty brand that offers natural and eco-friendly products with formulas that rival conventional high end makeup. I tried their blushes before and they were wonderful, so I had high expectations for the eyeliner as well. The formula didn’t disappoint: the pencil was soft and applied without dragging. I like that it comes with a sharpener built into the cap, because I tend to forget to sharpen mine all the time.
4 // Nail & Bone Nail Polish in Shirley ($10) – Each June/July box will contain one of three pink nail polish colors custom-created for Love Goodly. The colors are named after Kaley’s rescue pets Ruby, Shirley, and pony Shmooshy. I got Shirley, a beautiful baby pink creme that I plan to use in the summer for my manis and pedis. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but according to their website, the formula is 8-free, cruelty-free, and vegan.
BOTTOM LINE:
So what do you guys think about this box? I am quite happy with it, and my favorite item is probably the golden elephant necklace. It’s such a cute everyday piece! I also like that the color cosmetics and nail polish all come in neutral shades that anyone can pull off. Back when I subscribed to a dozen different beauty boxes I used to hate the ‘boring’ products, like black eyeliner or red lipstick. Now that I only get them once in a while, I learned to appreciate the basic, staple pieces. Fun colors are great in theory, but unlike neutrals, bright makeup preferences can be very unique so it’s kind of hard to guess what most people would like.
By choosing Love Goodly every subscriber helps support a charitable cause. The June/July box gives back to Paw Works, a nonprofit rescue organization that partners with county and city shelters to give abandoned animals a second chance at life.
