Remember my guess about skin care in one of the remaining two Le Metier de Beaute Vault VIP Boxes? Looks like I was right after all! It kind of makes sense that they would include pricey products right around the time our subscriptions are set to run out in hopes that we’ll be more inclined to sign up for another year. I won’t lie, I am definitely tempted after receiving a full-sized pre-release bottle of the brand’s newest creation – Instant Line Perfecting Serum, which will retail for $150 USD, according to Dermstore.
HOW IT WORKS: As a Vault VIP for $348/year you will receive a full-sized product or assortment of products every month, curated by our Beauté experts. Members of The Vault will also have the opportunity to try exclusive, limited-edition items and pre-releases of the brand’s latest and greatest before anyone else gets their hands on them. Click here to subscribe.
Like many Le Metier de Beaute products, Line Perfecting Serum comes in a dark pump bottle with silver details. The serum itself looks like a slightly murky gel, that turns clear when spread on the skin. I like that the company went with airtight and light-proof packaging, because according to the experts at Paula’s Choice, it helps protect the product inside from oxidation, thus helping preserve its efficacy.
This serum is designed to provide instant results: upon application your skin starts feeling warm and a little uncomfortable, and then gets instantly tightened once the gel fully absorbs, perfecting the texture and temporarily improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. For me it honestly didn’t do much, aside from firming the skin slightly, but I suspect that’s because I’m not the target demographic for this particular product. However, I see a couple ingredients on the list that might be good for my skin long-term, like Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamins E and C, so it would be worth it for me to just use it as a regular daily treatment.
Ingredients – CosDNA: Tocopheryl Phosphate, Caffeine, Darutoside, Hydrolyzed Rhizobian Gum, Butylene Glycol, Hyaluronic Acid, Silanetriol, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sorbic Acid, Capryly Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol.
THE VERDICT: Overall, I’m glad to finally see a nice full-sized bottle of skin care, since that’s what the brand was originally known for. Ready for my July prediction? I’m guessing we might see a limited edition Kaleidoscope, and/or a beauty tool, like an eyeshadow or a powder brush? This is more of a wishful thinking than a prediction though, but fingers crossed that I’m right about this one – I adore their Kaleidoscopes and the ones I already have get a lot of use.

I definitely need to incorporate more Hyaluronic Acid in my routine.
It’s a nice ingredient to have in your skin care products, and works for all skin types. Good stuff!
I’ve heard a lot about their skin care line. I haven’t tried it yet but I love that they incorporate Hyaluronic Acid in their serum so I should get in on it.
I tried several of their skincare products before, and I remember how much I loved the gel eye patches. Those were divine!
I haven’t tried anything from LMdB, but I love to see what you get. This is just meh in my opinion lol. I’m hoping you do get something colorful and fun in July! 🙂
I’m hoping for a fun Kaleidoscope in July, that would be a nice product to wrap up the year.
That looks like something I’d love. I understand why the subscription is so pricey but I wish I could afford it, lol! You mentioned getting a kaleidoscope, what do you mean? Like a real kaleidoscope or is it a beauty-related thing that I don’t know about?
Kaleidoscope is the brand’s signature palette type – it’s round in shape and has four large pans stacked one on top of another. They are all separated, so all Kaleidoscopes can safely house both powder and cream products. You pull out the pans like drawers!
Oh yes, I remember seeing them in your past posts. And there’s another indie brand that has similar packaging. I think it’s innovative, practical & very cool!
$348 sounds a lot upfront but doing the math and realizing that it’s only $29 is that much more tempting!
Yep, $29/month is not that much when we take the retail cost of these products into consideration. I decided to skip the next round though and upgrade my brush collection instead.
That serum looks like something I’d love to add to my arsenal. I enjoy your monthly posts on this service. It’s a bit spendy for me but if it were in my budget, I think I’d go for it.
I’m glad you are enjoying my LMdB posts, Erika! I decided to skip the next round, so July unboxing will be my last for a while 🙂
I haven’t tried this subscription service, but am familiar with it. The serum seems really intense, but effective.
I think it’s an interesting product for mature skin that can benefit from instant plumping.
That serum seems really nice
It seems like a good product, but I haven’t tested it long enough to form a concrete opinion yet.
I love LMB. Tempted to join their service.
I’m tempted to subscribe for year three, but I just have way too much stuff right now. I think that money is better spent for nice brushes, instead of more makeup that will probably collect dust.
Whenever you post one of the kaleidoscopes, I’m tempted to join! lol
Haha, yep, those Kaleidoscopes are amazing! LMdB is really known mostly because of them, and all of the ones I received in Vault VIP boxes have been in heavy rotation,
I haven’t tried anything from this brand before. In fact, I only first heard of it in your last post, haha! I am a serum addict though, I’d probably love this 😉
They are worth checking out, and I’ve only been on board with them for the past 2 years. Those who experienced some of the brand’s earlier products say that the quality has been slowly going downhill, and the latest releases aren’t as exciting.
Whoa I feel fancy just reading about it! This is something I need to give thought about, it sounds great!
Haha, well, I wish I could tell you if it’s worth the money or not, but I haven’t tested it long enough yet 🙂 I do love the packaging though – so classy!
This sounds like a nice product. I’m not sure I need it just yet, but adding to my list of products to keep in mind.
It’s an interesting one for sure, and I think it’s the first new skin care product the brand has released in a long time, so I’m sure there’s a lot of research behind it. I haven’t tested it long enough to determine if it’s a must have, but first impressions are positive.
I like the sound of the serum. And can you believe I’ve yet to try Le Metier B?
I’m actually surprised! After all, LMdB has kind of a MUA-friendly feel to it. They don’t advertise and rely on word of mouth, plus their makeup is created and curated by MUA pros. Some of their powder eye shadows are to die for!
They stopped sending me emails about the subscription since I never subscribed. You’ve gotten more than your moneys worth though. I hope it is a Kaleidoscope since those are always great.
Thats true, I don’y regret subscribing to this service one bit, and I got my money’s worth and then some. I won’t be subscribing for year three, but that’s mostly because of product overload.
I’ve never tried this brand, but you always make me drool over what you got!
Haha, well, the July unboxing will be the last one in a while, since I decided to skip the next year. I just need a break from all these products, and invest in new brushes instead.
I’m a fan of serums!
Me, too!
I was wondering if you were still doing this box.
July will be my last box for a while, and then I’m taking a year-long break. I had a two-year LMdB phase that I think I’m kind of over now. I still like their products, and was glad to be introduced to the line, but now that I have a drawer full of their stuff, I mostly reach only for the Kaleidoscopes, so I’d rather just buy those separately from now on.
