Hello ladies, your favorite cleanser snob is at it again! You’d think that finding the right cleanser would be the easiest thing ever, because there are just so many out there. But if like me you have very specific criteria, this seemingly easy task can be a daunting one. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, so those who are new to Glamorable will find more details on why I choose cleansers will neutral pH in this blog post. Long story short, there is enough evidence to convince me that alkaline cleansers, which make up the vast majority of the market, are actually aging your skin instead of helping it. In many cases simply switching to a better cleanser can significantly improve acne and dryness without changing anything else in the routine.
High pH cleansers are not just another fad for skincare hipsters to hate on like parabens, mineral oil, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are people with individual allergies and sensitivities to those ingredients, but there is just so much misinformation and pseudo-science spread about some ingredients that a lot of people take it as a fact. I fell victim to those fads too, until I had a nice talk with a cosmetic chemist who explained to me in detail why in many cases those controversial ingredients cause less harm than the alternatives.
Anyway, knowing how much proper cleansing matters for the skin’s overall appearance, I am always happy to introduce you guys to products that pass the test. And today I wanted to turn your heads to Korres Greek Yoghurt 3 In 1 Cleansing, Toning And Eye Make-Up Removing Emulsion [$24, available here]. In a nutshell this is a non-foaming milky cleansing emulsion that can be used alone or after pre-cleanse oil.
The ingredient list boasts several softening and moisturizing oils and extracts that don’t all go down the drain, because this isn’t a foaming cleanser:
- Greek Yogurt Concentrate nourishes and moisturizes the skin with two and a half times more protein than regular yogurt
- Eyebright Extract reduces the appearance of redness, swelling, and irritation
- Macadamia and Sunflower Oils seal in the moisture and protect from free radicals in tap water
MY THOUGHTS:
On its own Korres Greek Yoghurt 3 In 1 Cleansing, Toning And Eye Make-Up Removing Emulsion didn’t work for me as a makeup remover. Instead, it smudged my makeup around and left it sitting on the skin’s surface. I always double up with a pre-cleanse oil, though, regardless of my second cleanser so it’s not like I’d ever use it alone. When used on damp skin, this emulsion gets slippery and can be hard to wash off. However, the suggested use is to massage a generous amount into dry skin and tissue off. Using this method gave me the softest skin and removed the need to follow up with a toner afterward. I think people with dry and sensitive skin types will really appreciate this cleanser, but it works for all skin types: mine is combination/dehydrated and I’m loving it!
You can purchase Korres Greek Yoghurt 3 In 1 Cleansing, Toning And Eye Make-Up Removing Emulsion at Sephora.
Have you tried using a cold cream or another no-rinse cleanser before? Do you have a favorite Korres product? Do you prefer foaming or non-foaming cleansers? Let me know in the comments below!

I’m a huge fan of Greek yogurt. In fact, we go to a Bulgarian store where the Greek yogurt is handmade. So this sounds like an appealing multipurpose cleanser to me. But even for cleansers/mu removers that I tissue off, I need some water involved at some point so I’d use another foaming or another cream cleanser that I removed with soap afterwards, I guess. I know some people don’t like water on their skin but I’m not one of them.
Ooh, how nice! I wish we had a store like that where I live, I’d be a regular customer there for sure.
This sounds like a good cleanser for me when I’m feeling lazy. I like that it left your skin soft and smooth, and removed the need to use a toner.
It’s really a good second cleanser!
I’ve never tried a Greek yogurt based skin care product so I’m happy that this one works on sensitive skin because I’m curious.
It’s very gentle and delicate, I think people with dry skin would enjoy it. Plus, it can just be tissued off.
I found this to be too fragranced for me but I liked the results.
I can see that you might find it too fragranced. Certain strong scents really bother me, but this one didn’t.
I’m a huge fan of Korres so this is definitely something I’d like to try.
I enjoyed their products in the past, and this one is no exception. Good to know you like them too!
You skin always looks gorgeous so I’ll buy anything you say to!
You are so sweet Brooke! 🙂
I need to try this cleanser, I think that my skin would like it. And, like Brooke says, your skin is so gorgeous, if you endorse it, I probably need it.
I can see it working well for someone with dry skin. And thank you! 🙂
Too bad it didn’t remove the makeup!
On its own it didn’t, but it worked well as a second cleanser.
High-five from a fellow cleanser-seeker. My first cleanse is currently Oskia Renaissance but, for second cleansers, I’m now into clay cleansers for how well they draw out clogs and grime. I notice that multitasker cleansers (which also tone) don’t do it for me.
High-five back at ya! I hears great things about Oskia, but never tried any products myself yet. Do you like it so far?
It is great as a one-step makeup remover in the evenings. I prefer it to balm cleansers, which are more greasy.
This sounds good in theory. Wish it worked for you
It worked well as a second cleanser. It’s been years since I used just one product to cleanse and remove makeup, so it’s all good 🙂
This sounds really nice, but I don’t know if it’s for me. Had it removed the makeup, I might have picked it up
I normally double-cleanse, so for me this worked really well.
