Mmmm… more chocolate! Juniper is one of the boxes I’m always anxious to receive, which is only natural considering when it arrives, if you know what I mean 🙂 This month Lynn trick-or-treated us to some delicious confections; and I don’t know about you, but I always welcome more sweets, especially in October when the weather finally starts looking more Autumn-like with gray sky and occasional rain.
HOW IT WORKS
Juniper is a tampons and treats subscription aimed at redefining the monthly period experience for women. Juniper wants to turn a woman’s period each month from a cause of stress into an occasion for pampering. Every cycle, a Juniper package is delivered to the subscriber before her period begins. For $28/month subscribers are sent a personalized selection of tampons and other backup protection products, as well as hand-picked gourmet treats like artisan chocolates and herbal teas.

Mighty Leaf Tea & Nature’s Kick Honey Sticks – I greatly enjoy the selection of teas in my Juniper boxes, I don’t think I’ve ever not liked one. And I always seem to be able to find new and exciting flavors to add to my “must buy” list. The honey sticks I usually mix right into the tea, but this time the flavors were so bold, I used them as standalone snacks.
New Tree Orange Pearls – Who doesn’t love guilt-free sweets that also taste amazing? I sure do, and considering that I’m trying to drop 10’ish lbs, it’s a nice alternative to traditional candy. I personally really like the combination of orange and dark chocolate, I actually sometimes make chocolate dipped orange slices for dessert.
Amella Gray Sea Salt Caramels – These were mindblowingly good! The soft filling is made with agave nectar, which I personally think is a lot sweeter than sugar, and the combination of the super sweet handmade caramel and sea salt is just phenomenal. It reminded me of the time I first tried Cocomels, I was almost in tears because of how good they were. Same feelings this time 🙂
Bridgebrands Book Lover’s Milk Chocolate – The chocolate wasn’t as sweet as some people might be used to, but I personally liked that. It’s made of high quality cocoa beans imported from three different continents and selected for consistently superior flavor. This would make a perfect little gift for any sweet-tooth book lover in your life! I wish the shipping wasn’t so expensive, or I would definitely get some for my MIL 🙂
TCHO PureNotes Dark Chocolates – These little chocolate squares are so pretty, even the closeup picture looks like a piece of pop art that you could hang on a wall. I liked all four of them, so I don’t have a clear favorite, but the quality of the cocoa mixture is as outstanding as the wrapper.
Girly Goodies
Nothing to see here, gentlemen, move along please! 🙂 The white box is filled with my choice of tampons, and the cute golden pouch contains pads and Midol painkillers. I love that I can tell Juniper exactly what products I need and in which quantities, and they will accommodate to my needs.
THE VERDICT
I was really happy with my October Juniper box, it contained so many delicious treats! Those TCHO chocolates look like a piece of art, and Amella caramels are out of this world. I don’t even know where Lynn finds these things, but I really enjoy discovering new treats every month. On that note, is it November yet? 🙂

I like the variety of things you got in this box, its a nice change from strictly beauty products. Your chocolates look yummy, I love chocolate with real fruit, have you tried Brookside chocolate? They are sooo good and have real fruit pieces.

I have not tried Brookside Chocolate, thanks for the suggestion!
Wow, they bombed you with chocolate this month! I’m going to have to look up the websites for those products, although I’m familiar with Amella products. They are top shelf!
They sure did, and I’m not complaining 🙂
lovely box
Thank you, I liked it too 🙂
I don’t think that this box is worth the money personally. You paid $28 and got an extra $6 worth of products and you may or may not like them all. I love subscription boxes but Juniper wouldn’t really be my choice.
This is actually one of the highest value boxes, usually the RV is below the subscription price. It’s one of those subscriptions where you basically pay for the service and convenience, rather than to get a bang for your buck (most food/snack subscriptions are the same way).
