Juniper Box Unboxing and Review: June 2013

Happy first days of summer, everyone! I’m celebrating here with a nice bag of treats from Juniper, my favorite time-of-the-month subscription service. Brownies, key lime cookies and delicious tea – I got all I need to have a wonderful week.

Brownie Bliss by The Inspired Cookie
If you follow Juniper on social media, you know that Lynn has been craving a brownie that delivers a huge chocolate punch for a while, and she might have just found The One. It’s very chocolatey and moist, and it was almost too rich to eat the whole thing in one sitting, so I split it in two halves and saved one for later 🙂

J&M Key Lime Cookies
These cookies really tasted just like tiny key lime pies, and I munched down the entire pack in one sitting. They made a perfect addition to my unsweetened black tea, and left me wanting more. I would definitely buy some, but I know that even if I get the biggest box available on the site, I would eat them all right away again.

Under the Boardwalk by Nibnaks
I love dried fruits! I grew up in a family where those were the only sweets my sister and I were allowed to eat until we were old enough to sneak Snickers bars into our rooms. Out of this mix I especially liked the mangoes, and not just because it happens to be my favorite fruit, but also because they tasted very natural and not too sweet.

Calolea Glycerine Olive Oil Soap
Oh wow, I love Calolea EVOO, and I had no idea they made body products! It will be interesting to try this soap, which I’m sure is very luxurious, considering it’s made with Calolea olive oil.

Pukka Tea and Glorybee Honey Sticks
As you know, tea and honey are my period staples, because of their warming and soothing effect on the body. So far I have only tried the Detox tea bag and amaretto honey stick, and both were very yummy.
Overall: 5/5
Purchase: Yes

The verdict: June box was probably my favorite so far, the treats were truly delightful and a perfect match for my personal taste. I realize that food preferences are very individual, but I really hope to see more boxes like this in the future. Thank you for yet another great month, Lynn!

I adore Key Lime flavoring and am drooling over your description of those cookies. I’ll have to see where they’re available at because I ssssooooo want them.

If you like key lime anything, you’re definitely going to love these. They are the most delicious key lime cookies ever! 🙂

I’m going to make a list of all of these product manufacturers. THANK GAWD I don’t get monthlies anymore due to surgery, but receiving premium treats every month would make things nicer.

BTW, I still do get PMS symptoms, although not as bad. I still get “the chocolates” as I call my hormonal chocolate cravings, lol.

P.S. This seems like a much better service than Le Parcel. I think you wrote that their customer service was less than stellar. I tried to reach out to them on an issue and as things turned out, I’m less than impressed with them as well.

Uh yeah, the service is pretty bad, but worst of all the boxes arrive LATE! I mean seriously, who starts a period subscription service and doesn’t ship things on time??
