Ipsy GlamBag July 2014 Review, Pictures: Sensationally Sunkissed

Here comes the sun and a bag full of pretties! After seeing the theme for July Sensationally Sunkissed – I was really hoping that I wouldn’t get some kind of a bronzer, and luckily I didn’t. Instead, my bag had five lovely summery samples and two were them were simply amazing!

HOW IT WORKS

Each month subscribers will receive a new Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products customized according to your beauty profile. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using, all for only $10 a month.

bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15 – A loooong name for one of the longest-lasting eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. I swatched it for this post in the middle of the day, then left the swatch on, and next morning the color was still on my wrist! Now that’s some impressive staying power! This formula is nice and creamy, and allows enough time for blending and building up color before setting and becoming bulletproof. I think I might have to pick up 2-3 full-sized tubes of this thing, because this is easily one of the best cream shadow formulas out there.

Clear Clinic Laboratories Vanished Clear Spot Treatment – This spot treatment has a very strong smell of Salicylic Acid. It’s a nice size for carrying around in a purse, and can be very useful when you notice a pimple forming, to singe it before it blows out of control. I sure hope I don’t have to use it often, but if I do, it’ll be nice to have on hand.

Pixi Beauty Mini Tinted Brilliance Balm in Unique Pink – Loving how cute and tiny this sample is, but I found myself completely uninterested in the shade. This will go in my little stash of stocking stuffers.

Pur~lisse pur~protect essential daily moisturizer spf 30 – On the contrary here, while I am generally uninterested in Pur~lisse brand, I actually really want to try this daily sunscreen. I haven’t opened it yet but I will definitely use it this season!

Models Own Nail Polish in Red Sea – Stunning stunning color!! I’ve always wanted to try Models Own nail polish, and this was an amazing shade to sample as my first experience with the brand. It’s such a beautiful jelly red with iridescent flakies, and it just might become one of my favorite polishes for Summer. The formula is a tad bit too thick, but it actually goes on well and spreads evenly, without me having to fish for glitter.

THE VERDICT
Absolutely in love with bareMinerals eye shadow and Models Own nail polish, these two products were the highlights of my bag!

I was so disappointed with mine this month. I only liked one and 1/2 product, and that was the Benefit they’re real! mascara. And I sort of like the Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass but it dries to this odd texture. The 5-1 I got was the darker color and it looked and felt like mud and didn’t blend well at all, I am pale and do not take so the Dark Tanning stuff they sent me I gave away, and the Jojoba gel cream felt like I put baking grease all over my face, it wasn’t pleasant.
