And best of all, everyone that had enough ipsypoints could score a free full-sized High Beam highlighter from Benefit Cosmetics!

Zoya Nail Polish in Odette – Odette happens to be my favorite shade from Zoya’s newest Naturel Collection, the brand describes it as opaque orchid maroon cream, but I just call it mauve with a touch of grape. As always, swatches will be posted separately soon 🙂
POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini in Peony Petal – Love mauve! I really like this color, but I already decided to trade it for Pacifica body butter that I really wanted to receive. I read some reviews online and looks like these glosses have an unpleasant chemical smell, but I guess I won’t be able to find out if it’s true.
City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon – Gorgeous color, awesome pigmentation, and great staying power all for under $3! I think these blushes are a steal, and although they definitely don’t sport any fancy ingredients, it’s a great option for anyone on a budget.
PHYTO-C Velvet Gel – Who else sniffed this serum just to see if it smells like red velvet cupcakes? For some reason I was bummed that it doesn’t, but it’s not like I had any reason to believe that it would. The product description is a bit confusing, but looks like it’s used as a moisturizer and not as a serum, like I previously thought. According to the website, this product moisturizes, softens and nourishes the skin, improves microc-irculation and cell turnover. I’ve been using it for 5 days now and didn’t notice any difference yet =/
J. Cat Eye Lash EL05 – These falsies are very pretty, but I don’t normally wear them on a daily basis, so they’re going to my glam stash. What’s my glam stash? It has all sorts of things I use only for special occasions – cosmetic sequins, glitter, falsies, wigs, press-on nails etc 🙂
[Bonus] Benefit Cosmetics High Beam – This is a bonus product, available for purchase with Ipsypoints. High Beam is one of Benefit’s bestsellers, because it’s a true multi-tasking highlighter. A few dabs on the cheekbones, cupid’s bow, brow bone and nose will make any complexion look fresh and glowy. Need an affordable dupe? Try e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip ($3) or NYX Liquid Illuminator ($7).
THE VERDICT
So what do you think about this month’s Ipsy bag? I’m actually quite impressed with the contents, even though I’m saving the falsies for a special occasion, and trading the lip gloss. I almost used up my current highlighter, so I look forward to trying High Beam as well. What was your favorite product from the February bag?
I don’t know about you, but I really feel like I have more makeup and skincare than clothes. I become really conscious about it right around this time of the year when it finally starts getting warmer, and I suddenly realize I’ll be wearing those same old dresses and t-shirts for 3rd or even 4th year in a row. I take pretty good care of my clothes, so they don’t look shaggy, but I really think I need to finally invest in a new wardrobe. What about you, ladies, how often do you update your wardrobe?
